Attention HJUHSD Senior students, parents, and families. The Hanford Sentinel released a special Graduation Edition of the paper of which you may want to try and get a copy. It has great pictures and every graduate’s name listed. I am not sure how many they print, but worth it for the memories. The Sentinel office on 6th street may still have some.

This week the HJUHSD Board of Trustees honored the Hanford West High School Softball State Champs. Congratulations team and coaches!

We are very proud to announce that Renee Creech, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, and Jamie Rogers, Principal at Sierra Pacific High School, were both selected as ACSA Region XI Administrators of the Year in their respective categories. They were selected from candidates from the region consisting of Kings, Tulare, Kern, Mono, & Inyo Counties. Congratulations!

Today we had the honor of hosting our annual State of the District Luncheon. Thank you to all who took the time out of there busy day to hear about our past year of progress and what is on the horizon for HJUHSD. A special thanks to our community and school partners who are such a crucial part of student success and to the HJUHSD who made this event a success.

This week is National Teacher’s Appreciation Week, and in two weeks we celebrate Classified School Employees Appreciation Week. We merge the two into one big Staff Appreciation BBQ and we need your help! If you are a local business owner or just want to support a local educator, we are accepting gift cards or local services as giveaways to our amazing HJUHSD staff. Please consider donating! We are accepting gifts at the district office or happy to pick them up if you message us! Thank you!
