The Grand Sutlery spent an agreeable if not sweltering weekend at Old Fort Niagara's French and Indian War event.....Here are a few photos of our interpretive endeavors.....and wonderful guests.

The Grand Sutlery team is headed out to Old Fort Niagara next week for the annual F&I Weekend, trying out some French interp. Hope to see many visitors inside the fort!

A weekend of interpreting March 1778 at Judge William Hancock's House and attached tavern. The house and tavern were the site of a massacre of Salem County militia by the Loyalist Queen's Rangers on March 21, 1778.

Our final outing for 2017 was to the 240th commemoration of the Battle of Brandywine in September. Due to most of our staff being elsewhere, this was an extremely light event, made possible with help from our friends from the South. The event was a great opportunity to further experiment with camp layout and various activities while we continue to conduct research.

The Grand Sutlery's debut took place at the 240th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle of Short Hills on June 24-25, 2017. Organized by the Brigade of the American Revolution in cooperation with the local municipal authorities, the event offered the opportunity to test our model for public interpretation, which we have subsequently refined.
