A special event to be hosted by our friends at Crypto Museum in the Netherlands.
PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - EVENT
Secret Communications 5
Crypto Museum and the CVD&T Trust are proud to announce the fifth edition of the exhibition 'Secret Communications', which will be held on seven weekend days in November and December of this year in Duivendrecht (near Amsterdam, Netherlands). It is one of the rare occasions on which Crypto Museum will be showing and demonstrating a major selection from its collection of cryptographic equipment and spy gear. You will be able to see and touch the famous German Enigma machine, of which no less than eight different versions will be on display. An exciting first this year will be a post-war Enigma machine that has never been on public display before.
Also in this exhibition is a wide selection of spy radio sets from World War II and the Cold War, that were used by undeground resistance workers to communicate with our Governments in exile. Furthermore,we will show and demonstrate equipment for the intercept and processing of such radio traffic, including three generations of investigative tools from the Dutch Radio Monitoring Service (RDI).
Apart from historical devices, we will also pay attention to modern equipment, such as Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and white noise generators. Such devices are now more important than ever. They help us, for example, to secure our internet traffic and bank transactions.
Don't miss this event, as this is one of the rare occasions on which Crypto Museum will be showing a major selection from its collection. Feel free to talk with the curators and ask any question you like. Below is an overview of the opening days.
