👩‍⚕️🩺 If you have questions about your child’s medication for the start of the school year or have health concerns to share with our school nurse, please reach out to the school or stop by and see Ms. Lauren. She’s available at the following times:

🗓️ 7:30 - 3:00 - Thursday (20th), Friday (21st) and Monday (24th)

Please welcome a new reading apprentice to HAE, Makayla Sexton. We are so excited to have her join our team, putting students first every day. Makayla will be a wonderful support for students in reading and math. Here is more from Makayla herself:

I love playing sports, including softball, volleyball, and basketball. I am also a member of the Hancock High School Band where I participate in both marching and concert band. I enjoy traveling and hiking in the summer. My dream is to become an elementary school teacher. I love working with kids and look forward to teaching them skills that are crucial for success! Being an apprentice is a great opportunity for me to help students grow and become more confident in their learning.

Please help us in welcoming one of our new Reading Apprentices, Maya Shoemaker, to HAE! Maya is a high school student ready and trained to provide additional support to our students in reading and math. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to work with her! We appreciate her maturity and interest in our students. Here is more from Maya herself:

I really enjoy playing volleyball, basketball and softball. I am hoping to play basketball in college. I love to bake with my mom and try new recipes! I value outdoor activities and exploring different places! Taking this opportunity as an apprentice is to ensure that I can help students meet their own personal needs.

Attention HAE parents, WCPS Food and Nutrition Services is gearing up for the start of the school year! The following information will help you set up a lunch account for your student if you would like them to have money to purchase a la cart items (such as chips and other snacks). Please be reminded that HAE is a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) School and will not be collecting meal applications for this school year. All students receive one free breakfast and one free lunch automatically!

HAE parents, WCPS sent out a newsletter regarding the new ParentVue application for checking student schedules, attendance, grades, etc. See below to download the new app on your device. The old app will not work this school year! You do not need to change your login credentials, but if you're new to ParentVue, please call the front office to set up your account.

Student schedules go live on August 13th at 4:00 p.m.
