I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone for following my teaching journey and the amazing things that have come out of Room 101 🍎

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but tomorrow marks my last day as a teacher. Louie and I are headed up to Boston in July to start a new adventure in the city where I grew up. I can’t begin to express how much I am going to miss the sweet city of Hanahan, my co-workers and of course, my students 😭

To my students: You have all taught me so much. You make my smile a little bigger, my laugh a little louder, and my world a little brighter. You are all part of my family and I will ALWAYS remember each and every one of you. I’ll never forget the laughter that echoed into the hallways, the hugs off the bus every morning, and the flowers picked as gifts after gym class ❤️

To Club Joy: I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to all of you for making what started out as a small social club, into something even more than I could have ever imagined. The friendships formed in this club are some of the most kind, and authentic friendships I have ever seen. You are all going to do big things in life. Keep being you and always remember to include ☀️

Today was a first! We had our friend, Tucker come and teach us a thing or two about his bracelet business, TLC Handmade ❤️ Tucker taught the class how to make a bracelet and then helped them all one by one until their bracelets were complete. He even gifted each of them one all out of the kindness of his heart. We had the BEST time!

Project SEARCH is an internationally recognized program that prepares young adults with disabilities for the workplace. Students complete on-site work internships to gain experience with support from teachers, job coaches, and local support agencies. Interested students must apply and interview before being accepted as an intern. Only four students from BCSD are selected each school year. Hanahan High School is pleased to announce that we have not one, not two, but THREE seniors who have been accepted into the program for the 2022-2023 school year. Please help me to congratulate Kalib Gibbs, Haley Craft, and Alex Packard-Gray 🎉👏🏻

Today was a great day 😁 Our graduating seniors and a few of our Club Joy friends went to LOR to give back to the community 💙 A big thank you to Club Joy Community Outreach Co-Chair, Amy for planning such a fun trip and thank you to LOR for having us!
