Round Canopy Parachuting Team - USA VISION: RCPT-USA’s vision is to honor the history of Allied Airborne Forces past, present, and future. Come and join us for the fun and camaraderie.

MISSION: RCPT-USA performs round canopy commemorative airborne demonstrations to increase awareness and educate the public about the sacrifices and heroism of Allied Paratroopers from WWII onward. RCPT-USA is based in the southeast United States, but participates in round canopy static line events across the US and internationally in partnership with European Chapters. This we humbly do to reinfor

ce the world-wide memory of their priceless deeds of valor, and the selfless sacrifices so many made to restore peace on earth. RCPT - USA conducts demonstration jumps at airshows across the US annually, and typically conducts two training and proficiency events each year (Spring and Fall) in Palatka, Florida. It's "more than just a jump"!

For months, an outpouring of love has been shown for our former chapter president, Bill Markham. This past weekend RCPT-USA, Bill’s bride, Val, and so many family, friends, and acquaintances of Bill’s gathered at Skydive Palatka for a jump in his honor and to celebrate his life.
This is a weekend we never imagined we’d have to coordinate and a weekend isn’t enough to encompass a life lived so fully.
Over and over stories recounted ways that Bill impacted someone. Ways that Bill lived out the RCPT mission and embodied our slogan of More Than Just A Jump. Stories of his servant leadership and his unique way of making EVERYONE feel a sense of belonging.

We will carry that charge forward in Bill’s memory. We remain committed to the RCPT mission and will forever feel the loss of a man of such high regard.

Thank you to everyone who supported this weekend in ways big and small.

Our very own RCPT-USA Det West celebrated National Airborne Day at the Wings Over Camarillo Air Show in California 🇺🇸

Bill Markham had a goal and a vision to establish a West Coast detachment and our Det West members are consistently putting on great shows for their communities while keeping a strong heritage of the WWII paratroopers.

We’re proud to have honored Bill again, this time from the west. More than just a jump.

Today, RCPT-USA honored National Airborne Day by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. We remember and honor all those who served, sacrificed, and took the leap before us. It’s more than just a jump.

This past weekend reminded us why RCPT-USA exists.

Yes, we competed. We challenged one another, celebrated great landings, and crowned champions.

But what we'll remember most are the friendships renewed, the stories shared, the laughter around the hangar, and the privilege of honoring those who built the foundation of our team and our sport.

The Jim "P*e Wee" Martin Accuracy Competition isn't just about landing on the X. It's about standing shoulder to shoulder with teammates, honoring our heritage, investing in the next generation, and strengthening the bonds that make RCPT-USA a family.

Because in the end, the medals will be put away, but the camaraderie will remain.

It's More Than Just a Jump. It's a brotherhood and sisterhood that spans generations.

The 5th Annual Jim "P*e Wee" Martin Accuracy Competition is in the books, and once again it reminded us why RCPT-USA is More Than Just a Jump.

Over the weekend, 90 jumps were made, with an impressive 53% of all landings finishing within 30meters of the X while flying the SF-10A/MC-6 parachute system. The level of flying was exceptional, but what made this weekend special had very little to do with where we landed.

We gathered as teammates and friends—sharing meals, telling stories, renewing old friendships, welcoming new members, and enjoying the camaraderie that has always been the heart of RCPT-USA.

Together, we honored the life and legacy of Jim "P*e Wee" Martin, whose example of service, humility, and friendship continues to inspire our team. A special thank you to Jodi Martin for once again joining us and for her unwavering dedication to preserving her grandfather's legacy for future generations.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Kelly West and the entire team at Skydive Greene County, founded by her father, Jim West, in 1961. Their hospitality and commitment to preserving one of the most historic drop zones in our sport make this event possible year after year.

Weekends like this remind us that while the jumps bring us together, it's the people who keep us coming back.

Thank you to every jumper, volunteer, rigger, Jumpmaster, scorer, family member, and supporter who helped make this another unforgettable weekend.

It's More Than Just a Jump. It's a family, a tradition, and a legacy that continues with every generation.

Congratulations to Billy's Boys—Eric J. Lewis, Curt Beck, Gavin Lewis, and John Hoffstetter—winners of the 5th Annual RCPT-USA Jim "P*e Wee" Martin Accuracy Competition!

This weekend was about far more than accuracy. It was about honoring the legacy of Jim "P*e Wee" Martin, one of the original Toccoa men of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, whose life of service continues to inspire future generations.

In keeping with that legacy, RCPT-USA is proud to once again donate $5,000 to the Jim "P*e Wee" Martin Memorial Scholarship at Ohio University. The scholarship supports future leaders through the Army and Navy/Marine Corps ROTC programs and other qualifying student leadership initiatives, ensuring P*e Wee's spirit of service lives on.

Congratulations to all who competed, and thank you to everyone who made this incredible weekend possible.

It's More Than Just a Jump.

This weekend is about more than competition.

The 5th Annual Jim "P*e Wee" Martin Accuracy Competition honors the legends whose vision, sacrifice, and passion built RCPT-USA and the sport we love.

We remember Jim "P*e Wee" Martin, Jim West, and our friend and former President Bill Markham—three men whose legacies continue to guide us every time we step out the door.

This photo represents just a portion of the Jumpmaster cadre, riggers, safety personnel, and volunteers whose dedication makes weekends like this possible. Thank you for the countless hours behind the scenes.

Tomorrow, the competition continues. Today, we honor the legacy.

More Than Just a Jump.

A special shout out for our Bill Markham by Justin Allgaier who raced yesterday (Saturday, July 11, 2026) at EchoPark Speedway (Atlanta Motor Speedway) in Hampton, Georgia. He drove the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports and won the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series Focused Health 250 after making a last-lap pass in double overtime
