Have you been hearing about artificial intelligence and wondering what it really is? Please join us for a friendly, one-hour conversation. There is no need to know anything about computers or technology, and every question is a welcome one!

• What artificial intelligence actually is — a simple explanation of tools like ChatGPT and chatbots, what they can do well, and why they sometimes give answers that sound right but are not
• How to protect yourself — the latest scams powered by AI, how to protect yourself online, and clear guidance on what you should never upload or share with a chatbot
• How to try it for yourself — helpful tips, a live demonstration, and a one-page handout to take home with you

This presentation is this Thursday, August 20th, at 6 PM. Registration is required.

And that is a wrap on our pilot season for the Hampton Farmer's Market! Thank you so much to all of the vendors who worked hard and the people who came out to show their support. Due to the high interest, we will have a full season next year with more vendors and events. We will see you in 2027!

It’s that time of year, again! Join us on August 4th from 5pm-8pm at Tuck Field to celebrate National Night Out! Bring the family and a lawn chair and enjoy the live band, Redemption. Enjoy food from the Old Salt, Big Bad, and a cold treat from Kona Ice. Watch K9 Icky and his partner put on a demonstration. Try your hand at dunking the Chief and SRO’s in the dunk tank. See the horses from the Hampton Police Mounted Patrol. Visit with everyone’s furry buddy, Corporal Gus. The library will be there with some fun activities along with Hampton Rec and some field games. Touch-a-truck with all of our community public safety partners. We will have facepainting and balloon twisting and more. Special this year for America 250, we welcome the Piscatiqua Ranger Fife and Drum Corps. So much fun for the family! We hope to see you all there!

Looking for something to do in the rain? Our friends at the American Independence Center have loaned us their Colonial replica display for a couple of weeks! Check out the table by the Children's Room entrance to play colonial games, try on historical clothing, and learn about how people lived during the time of the American Revolution!
