A special welcome and an opportunity to share the work happening every day at EASTCONN.

Governor Ned Lamont, joined by State Senator Mae Flexer, visited EASTCONN’s Northeast Learning Center for a firsthand look at our Head Start and Early Learning programs.

From a “Welcome Governor Lamont” sign decorated by our children to conversations with staff, apprentices, and mentors, the visit highlighted the people behind EASTCONN’s early childhood work.

The visit concluded in our new community garden, where Governor Lamont and Senator Flexer met apprentices and mentors working side by side to build career pathways in early childhood education.

Thank you, Governor Lamont and Senator Flexer, for spending time with our EASTCONN community!
