This weekend I (Allie Brisbois) was up in Massachusetts for a few days and since I was solo and had some extra time I reached out to SWEET Janet Nittnam at Windrush Farms in North Andover. Windrush is the first therapeutic riding facility in the U.S. and a fellow PATH Premier Facility. I got the gift of spending a few hours with her and her staff meeting horses, touring facilities, asking questions and getting advice. I love meeting people all over the country with the same heart for seeing horses transform lives. I can’t wait to bring all that I saw and learned back to our Equestrian team so we can dream big about the future of our program!

CAN YOU HELP?
The barn is looking great, Mackenzie is off to a fabulous start, and Amanda and Marywill have been hard at work training volunteers and getting our lessons for the year lined up and ready to go. Now, we need YOU!
Did you know that lesson fees cover only about 20% of our annual budgetary needs? We are a 501(c)3 that is HEAVILY dependent upon individual and corporate donors who look at what we are doing and are willing to invest financially.
This year we will be gifting all of our volunteers with t-shirts to wear when they are working as feeders, side walkers and leaders. On the back of these shirts, we would LOVE to put your name or your businesses name as one of our 2026-2027 Donors.
Please check out the graphic for more details and then go to https://givebutter.com/EQ_shirtsponsor BY SEPTEMBER 30th to join our campaign!
And if your business would be interested in an even higher sponsorship level, please contact me, Allie Brisbois, at [email protected] to set up a meeting to talk about some of the other sponsorship opportunities we have available.

Please help me welcome Mackenzie York as our new barn manager! Mackenzie has been a lover of horses since she was a little girl and is thrilled to be a part of the team here at the Calvin Center. Here she is in her own words:
“Horses have been my lifelong passion, and I take pride in creating an environment where both horses and people can thrive together. As a horse owner myself, I approach every task with professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the equine industry. My goal is to ensure every horse receives outstanding care while providing a safe, positive, and well-run barn experience.”
We are thrilled to have you at Calvin!

Thank you so much to all who came out to the barn in the HEAT on Saturday to help us with some serious cleaning. Everyone worked so hard and together we were able to get the barn one step closer to being the happy, safe place for another year of riding, growing and healing!

For the past two years I’ve had the privilege of being the barn manager here at Calvin Center, and with a heavy heart it is time I say goodbye. I’ll miss each rider, family, veteran, and volunteer but now it’s time for me to step back and welcome my second baby boy coming in January!🩵

Thank you all for the wonderful memories! ❤️

I’ll still be around some, but we have welcomed a wonderful new barn manager who we’ll be introducing real soon!😉

Love,
Paisley

We had a great day of volunteer training on Tuesday. A big thank you to our PATH instructors Amanda and Marywill for leading us all. This place doesn’t run without our amazing volunteers who help with feeding and as safety and moral support at our lessons. If you are interested in volunteering this fall, you are in luck! We have another training session next Saturday 8/22 at 10:00. If you would like to be a regular volunteer, an occasional volunteer or just want to come and learn more about what we do, you can register here: https://calvincenter.horse/rsvp/fall-2026-volunteer-training/.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of two of beloved heard members- Redford and Brownie. 💔

As the last few months passed, they made it clear to us they were ready to say goodbye. They passed together surround with barn staff. We love them dearly, and know they’ll be greatly missed!
