My name is Cassandra Pero and I am a licensed home daycare provider in Hampton CT. I have worked in a few center based daycares; as well as grew up homeschooled and worked, in my own mother's home daycare. I opened my daycare in 2021 right before the birth of mine and my husband's son, because I wanted to be able to stay home with him and also continue working with kids. Two years later, we also w
elcomed our daughter and have continued to have a very rewarding journey through this daycare. I have met and worked with so many amazing children and their families and hope to continue on for a long time to come. I mostly focus on lots of outdoors/nature based and sensory based activities for all ages that I care for. We go outside in almost all weather. I also supply a balanced curriculum that focuses on letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, as well as many fine and gross motor activities; that are based on the theme of the week or month. I tailor the curriculum to fit all ages and developmental needs. And I will take individual time with each child every day, to work on whatever they are most interested in or need to master most. Some may need extra help or a different way of learning from when we do group activities and others may need time to expand further on something they have already mastered. So I learn what each child needs and will find a way to help them learn best. Kids can be kids here, no matter how loud, messy or crazy it might become sometimes. I try my best to have everything your child could need here, to make transitions from home to school and back to home, as easy as possible. I supply all meals, snacks and drinks and use CACFP food program guidelines, to feed the most nutritious and homemade options that I can. My curriculum for all ages is provided at no extra cost. I also have individual colored plates, cups, silverware, bowls, and rain suits for each child. Provided there are no allergies, I supply wipes, because I find that I use them for so many things, that it just makes sense. I also will wash clothes that children dirty here, again unless any allergies are present, so that it is easier on families when they go home to not have to worry about the messy clothes from the day. And I have individual, cots/pack and plays, sheets, blankets and pillows that I get for each child to use here as well. Of course families are still allowed to bring in their own nap items (allowed by state requirements) or any other items they would like their child to have their own of from home. I just supply them as well to hopefully make things easier. All I ask of families is to bring diapers, sunscreen and a few changes of clothes. Then weather appropriate clothing (snowsuits, hats, boots, gloves, and swimsuits) for the times those are needed. I accept children from ages 6 weeks to school age and then before and after schoolers as well. My hours are 7:30a.m.-5:30p.m. Monday through Friday. Everything that I offer is at the same price, no extra costs or reductions. Tuition is $250.00 weekly for all under school age. Before and After school spots are offered at $100 weekly and offer everything the same as the younger children, while the child is with me, as well as homework help. I do accept Care4Kids and I am happy to assist you in that process if needed. Please feel free to call or message anytime for any further information or to schedule a tour.
