Walker/ McNair...No meeting tomorrow, BUT, we are winding down for the Hottest event in DeKalb County since FAST EDDIE'S took off !! We are down to five weeks as of today for our second annual Walker/ McNair Alumni Picnic/ Summer fest on August 22nd !. The New gray T-shirts are in, and new orders are being taken each week for those who needs to purchase another one. ( The red ones are also available for purchase) So please, contact your graduating class representative, who's functioning under the Sub-Committee title; They will assist you in all of the funding matters and information that goes out. Remember, There will be a RED HOTT/ GRAY T-shirt contest ! 1st, 2nd,and 3rd place prizes. $100, $50 and $25 dollars will be awarded.
Also, if your class has not paid or completed paying your security fees, ( $200 per class) we ask that we all try to get this turned in ASAP, please.
Again, as mentioned at every meeting, we need for every class to coordinate your own BBQ, Pot luck, cook out, fish fry, Hot Dog boil, etc. With that being said, please work out all details with the class "Grill person". If a class cannot obtain a secure grill person, I'm sure that a neighboring class will be more than willing to share their grill; but please remember grilling set-up cost; i.e. charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. and please, everyone, encourage your people to brings extra coolers and lots of ICE and Bottled Water and their OWN Lawn chair...( get out my chair !) Lol !...So, let's get hot, hunker down and let's make this thing another EXPLOSION !!!..Next meeting is next Sunday, August 26th, at Bigelow's. We really need for class of 76, 77, 78, 85 to step UP !! Repost, copy and text to everyone on Facebook and who's not on FB. Thanks Fam. ALUMNI MEETING TODAY: We have a total of 12 extra T-shirts from last year that's available for purchase on a first come first serve basics. These sizes are: 1-small, 1-large, 9-XL, and 1-4X. We will also start taking orders today for this years event. Remember, or should I say reminder, we will be having a "T-shirt contest", for the best style, creativity, make-up, etc. So if you plan on entering the contest, and you need to purchase a new one, we'll be there waiting for you ! The prizes are $100, $50, and $25 dollars for 1st,2nd, and 3rd place winners. Looking forward to seeing everyone today !

REMINDER: Alumni Meeting tomorrow, Sunday, April 26th at 4pm, up at Bigelows. We need for all interest personnel in assisting on the Alumni Sub-committee ( for your class) to please be present ...ON TIME. Also, we have a few more T-shirts that will be on sale as well. They are only $10 dollars. Sizes and available inventory count will be posted later today. Lets have a good turn out for our first meeting. Come and hang out and see your old and new friends. Class of 92, let's get those underclassmen ONBOARD !! See y'all tomorrow.

CANCELLED ALUMNI MEETING TODAY: Due the severe weather that's in the area today, that's forecasted for the next few hours, we will postpone the meeting until next Sunday, 4pm, at Bigelows. Please repost this and pass the word ASAP.

DATE CHANGE: Due to a scheduling conflict with Dekalb County Parks and Recreation, our Alumni picnic date has been changed to August 22nd. So please get this word out ASAP and repost. We will keep everyone informed on any sudden changes or any information applies to the Walker / McNair Alumni event.

Good morning Warhawks/ Mustangs. We will be having our first open Alumni meeting this Sunday, at 4pm at Bigelows. The purpose for this meeting is to discuss New sub committee members duties, Security fees, parking, location set up, etc. We will be at Exchange Park again this year. Oh, by the way, the date is August 22nd ( date changed April 16th) We are asking that each class provide at least two LOYAL, COMMITTED, DEDICATED members to assist on the Sub Committee Board in handling matters for your class that would take some of the stress off of the Committee. We will discuss those responsibilities at this weekends meeting.
We have been informed by The DeKalb county Parks And Rec Administration that we HAVE to hire four police officer, from 8am to 8pm at $35 dollars an hour; and the price is " Non Negotiable".
The best way to resolve this issue is that we are asking for each class to pay ( as a whole) $ 200 a class. Last year we were ask to pay only $ 100 per class. Being that we're faced with this new security fee/ HYPE, we feel that this is the best solution to counter this matter. So help get the word out !!.REPOST !!...See y'all on Sunday !

WHS/MHS...are y'all ready to feel da Groove again ?!...Save the date. We are already cooking things up for this year's second Annual Alumni picnic/ "summerfest" ! If you missed last year's Explosion, then you will certainly not want to miss this year. Oh yes, we will TOP last year in EVERY category !! Attendance, Music, food, Class Reps, dancing, food cook off, etc. And this year we are kicking off an " Alumni T-shirt" contest !! We'll be looking for the BEST Creative, sexy, cut-up, with heel or without heels, etc. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be presented. We are asking for all classes to represent your class with a " Showcase style" table set up. The winner will be announced during the event. So Fam, classmates, let's get word out and get this reposted. We are really looking for greater turn out from the McNair Alumni classes from 1990 and up !! So the classes from 88,89, 90,91,92, etc...lets get the word out to them as well this year. The Alumni committee is already at work, but we are currently recruiting a "sub-committee" to handle all of the secondary responsibilities for their class.
