🕊️ Peace Day at Topsail Montessori 🌎💙

Today, we celebrated Peace Day, an international celebration recognized by Montessori schools around the world. At Topsail Montessori, we take this opportunity to pause, reflect, and remind our children that peace begins with the way we treat ourselves, one another, and our world.

Our children gathered to share a special story about peace and then walked our Peace Spiral, taking a quiet moment to reflect on kindness, respect, and harmony. 🌿

May we all carry a little more peace with us today and every day. 💛

🌎 Montessori Corner: Land, Air & Water 🌊

Our children have been exploring the wonderful world of Land, Air, and Water! As part of their study, they learned about different landforms, created their own sets of landform cards, and then brought their learning to life by making landforms with salt dough and painting them. 🎨

We love seeing the children move from learning the names and characteristics of landforms to creating and exploring them with their own hands. Such a wonderful example of hands-on Montessori learning! 🌎✨

A special thank you to Ms. Mollie and Ms. Leticia for creating such a meaningful and engaging learning experience for the children! 💚

At Topsail Montessori, we believe that children learn best when they are given the time, space, and opportunity to do things for themselves.

From pouring their own water to choosing their work, caring for the classroom, solving a problem, or helping a friend - these everyday moments are building something much bigger: independence, confidence, and a love for learning. ✨

Sometimes the most meaningful learning happens in the simplest moments.

What is your child learning to do independently at home right now?

🌎 Montessori Corner: Yesterday, our Primary 1 classroom took a delicious little trip to Austria! 🇦🇹

As part of their study of Austria, the children had the opportunity to make apple strudel. They had so much fun helping prepare this traditional treat and were even more excited to taste something they had made themselves! 🍎🥧

A big thank you to Ms. Dusty and Ms. Sarah for creating such a fun and hands-on learning experience for the children!
