Week Two of our Summer Preschool Sessions: Animal Explorers! 🐾🐦
This week was all about animals, curiosity, and hands-on learning — and our Animal Explorers took a special deep dive into the wonderful world of birds!
With our brand-new birdfeeder bringing so much excitement to the school, our students became little bird watchers, noticing the different birds that visited, talking about what they eat, how they move, and how we can care for the animals around us. Their excitement has been contagious, and it has been so sweet watching them slow down, observe, wonder, and learn from nature right outside our door.
We also had some very special visitors this week!
A huge thank you to Tom Toby with Thomas Towing & Transport for bringing his epically large tow truck for the children to see up close! It was such an exciting surprise that was rescheduled due to last week’s weather and definitely a highlight of the week- well worth the wait!
We are also so grateful to Angela Hall for bringing her therapy dogs, Charlie Brown and Cooper, to visit with our students. The children loved meeting them, learning about gentle hands, interacting with dogs, and what makes therapy dogs so special.
From birds and dogs to big trucks and big smiles, this week was full of wonder, connection, and community. We are so thankful for the people who help make these experiences meaningful and memorable for our little learners.
Can’t forget that we started our Kindness Rock project, too! 💛
