Lucy - 12 Year Old Shetland Cross Mare

Lucy is a small 12 year old Shetland cross mare currently working regularly in our lesson program. She has been used for summer camps, jumping lessons, and IEA practices, and has show experience at both local unrated shows and IEA competitions.

She is an easy keeper and currently lives outside, but is equally content living in a stall. Lucy has been a useful and versatile member of our program and could be a great fit for a lesson program, IEA barn, or a kid looking for a fun pony to ride and show.

Tonight we said goodbye to one of the very best.

Clue wasn't just another horse, he was one of the greatest lesson horses to ever walk through the doors of Tower Hill. For six plus years, he patiently and safely carried countless riders through their first lessons, first trots, first canters, and so many milestones. He helped build confidence, create memories, and sparked a lifelong love of horses in so many people.

Twelve years ago, Clue began his next chapter when Sarah gifted him to her mom, Julie. We could not be more grateful for the life he had with her. He spent the rest of his life and retirement exactly as every horse deserves, with an owner who loved him unconditionally, gave him exceptional care, and made sure every day was filled with comfort and kindness.

Clue lived an incredible life, reaching 30 years old, and while tonight is heartbreaking, our hearts are full knowing just how deeply he was loved.

Julie Schwerdtner, thank you for giving Clue the life and retirement every horse dreams of. It was a privilege to watch the bond the two of you shared.

Run free, sweet Clue. We hope you're back in the pasture with your old friend Dude, grazing in green fields and watching over all of us.

Rest easy. You earned it. ❤️

As we wind down on finishing part 2 of second cutting we can’t help but appreciate the night!

Nothing beats a summer evening in the hay field. 🌾

Tonight we're tedding hay to help it dry a little faster so we can bale on Thursday.

As we worked, we couldn't help but smile watching our school horses just being horses, running, playing, and enjoying the pasture.

They work so hard for so many riders, and they deserve every moment of simply being a horse.
