Local Music Instruction from highly experienced and degree holding professionals. Allison is a Columbia College Chicago Graduate who majored in Musical Theater (BA) and Instrumental Performance. She studied Music Education and Performance through Harper College, and ECC. One of her greatest accomplishments was her performance on Broadway 2015- Avery Fischer Hall/ Lincoln Center in the running of "

Parade." There she worked with with top names in Broadway and Directors such as Jason Robert Brown. Allison has been teaching Music/ Theater instruction in the suburbs for over 12 years. She was previously a judge for Schaumburg Idol, and instructed dance at Palatine Park District. Allison toured as the keyboardist in the band "The Handsome Bandit" (three piece rock/pop original works-on itunes). Now she is offering lessons through her company Musical Owl and The Hampshire Park District.

Our youth choir workshop is where aspiring singers work together to find their spotlight. In a supportive, small-ensemble setting, your child will elevate their vocal technique, master audition skills, and build their confidence.

Our Youth Choir Workshop runs throughout June and July, meeting weekly for eight, 1-hour sessions. Simply select the class time that fits your schedule best when registering: 11am-12pm or 6pm-7pm on Mondays.

Summer Youth Choir & Workshop

Mondays 11am-12pm or 6pm-7pm | $180 Per Student

Unlock your vocal potential and master the art of group harmony in this interactive, eight-week dive into total musicianship. Beyond learning a great variety of songs, students will actively build essential music-reading skills, explore healthy vocal technique, and discover the science of vocal blending. A Holiday Showcase!

Hello Musical Owl families! We are excited to announce an additional holiday performance opportunity for Musical Owl students!

Sunday December 7th, Musical Owl students are invited to perform their holiday selections at Winestock in Woodstock! Winestock is a small venue in downtown Woodstock with a window front platform stage and cafe style seating. "A Holiday Showcase" will have two time slots: 12pm and 1:30pm. Please be sure to register (link below) and fill out the sign up sheet in the studio at the front desk by November 30th. Performers are encouraged to perform more than one well prepared selection.

Performance times: Group ONE 12:00pm / Group TWO 1:30pm
Date: Sunday December 7th, 2025

Performers please dress business casual, and plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to performance time.
