Welcome to Weatherbee, Ms. Beckery Renaud! Ms. Renaud joins our 5th grade team to us after teaching 6th grade at Reeds Brook last year and 5th and 6th grade in downeast Maine.

What would you like to share about yourself/your family?

"Hi, my name is Ms. Renaud. This will be my sixteenth year of teaching and I am excited to begin this new chapter at Weatherbee. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my kids."

Interests/Hobbies:

"My interests include traveling, hiking, kayaking and spending time outdoors."

What makes you most excited to join the Weatherbee team?

"I'm excited to become part of the Weatherbee community, meet my new students and colleagues, and build new relationships."

Welcome to Weatherbee, Mr. Reed Farrar! Mr. Farrar will be joining our 5th grade team this year. Mr. Farrar is a familiar face in RSU 22 as he joins us from Reeds Brook Middle School.

Let's get to know Mr. Farrar:

What would you like to share about yourself/your family?

"I have taught 8th grade ELA and History for 22 years. I live in Winterport with my wife, Erica, and our chocolate Lab, Juniper."

Interests/Hobbies:

"One of my favorite hobbies is traveling the world and learning about the history and culture of distant lands. I also enjoys spending time with my two adult children, camping, fishing, and playing golf."

What makes you most excited to join the Weatherbee team?

"What excites me most about working on the Weatherbee team is the opportunity to try something new. After many years teaching at the middle level, I'm looking forward to the challenge of working with a new age group and subject."

Continuing our Welcome to Weatherbee Series! We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Brittney Harmon as our School Counselor at Weatherbee this year! Mrs. Harmon previously worked in RSU 22 as a 504 Coordinator.

Let's get to know Mrs. Harmon:

What would you like to share about yourself and your family?

"My name is Brittney Harmon and I've been in education for 16 years. My family and I moved from Texas to Maine 2 years ago in the pursuit of a quieter life and new adventures. My husband, Zach, is a Risk Manager for Acadia Insurance and our son, Jack, will be a 2nd grader at Weatherbee this year!"

Interests/Hobbies:

"My hobbies include all the projects and chores involved in running our family farm, Bussey Barn Farm. I love taking care of our ducks, beekeeping, growing vegetables, mushrooms, pumpkins and maintaining our pear orchard and raspberries patch."

What makes you the most excited about working on the Weatherbee team?

"I'm most excited about getting to know everyone and collaborating to develop creative strategies to support students and families. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon!"

•What would you like to share about yourself and your family?

"My name is Miss Chute! I graduated last year with my elementary education degree from the University of Maine! Currently I live with my family and dog, Gibson. We love going for long walks and spending time in the sun!"

•Interests/Hobbies:

"I enjoy reading, cooking new recipes, and golfing at the local courses."

•What are you most excited about working on the Weatherbee team?

"I am overjoyed to be joining the Weatherbee team but am most excited about making relationships with the students, families, and other staff. I can't wait to be a part of the amazing work happening at Weatherbee, and to start being a part of the school community!"

Welcome to Weatherbee!

We are excited to have Mrs. Melissa Cota join our 3rd grade team at Weatherbee. Mrs. Cota comes to Weatherbee after teaching 3rd grade in Dexter.

Let's get to know Mrs. Cota:

•What would you like to share about yourself and your family?

"I am so excited to be teaching third grade at Weatherbee this year! Although this is my first year here, this will be my sixth year in third grade. I am originally from Hampden, so it feels so great to feel back at home!"

•Interests/Hobbies:

"When I am not teaching third grade, you can find me outside with my husband and our mini English Bulldog, Luna! Our favorite place to be is anywhere by the water. I also love to read, bake, and travel to new places!"

•What are you most excited about working on the Weatherbee team?

"I'm excited to be a part of a collaborative and supportive community and look forward to building relationships with my students and their families. I can’t wait to have fun learning with all of you!"
