Apple Crunch Day promotes the importance of healthy eating and supporting our local farmers. This year our apples were grown at Hillcrest Orchards in Winterport, and Rowe's Orchard in Newport. RBMS joined thousands of students across Maine. FOX 7 / ABC 7 Bangor, featured RBMS' participation in the statewide celebration on the broadcast on October 14 (minute 56:10-57:17). Thank you to our Food Service Director Pete Merritt for organizing the event!

Something new is happening at Reeds Brook Middle School! We're excited to introduce GenUS Skill Builders, a new way for students to build the skills they'll need for work, learning, and life. In Ms. Moody and Mrs. Duplissis' Life and Career Readiness classes, students at Reeds Brook are exploring practical skills like Digital safety, Digital Ethics, and Media Savvy, applying what they learn to real situations, and reflecting on how it connects to their own experience. For the past few weeks students have been working on creative projects to demonstrate the importance of navigating the digital world safely, kindly, and with a critical eye. When a student can show they understand a skill, they earn a Skill Certificate for it. Not for showing up. For showing they get it. We can't wait to see what our students build!

Marking its fourth year, the RBMS Juggle-a-thon brought together both the Boys and Girls soccer teams this year to fundraise for Northern Light, Champion for the Cure. Players juggled for donations, with the top participant reaching 61 juggles!

📅 Save the date! Our Community Resource Fair is coming up on Thursday, October 22, at Hampden Academy!

This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and families to connect with local organizations and learn about the many services available in our community to support children and families. 🤝

Families of students in grades 6–12: we'll also have information focused on the transition into adulthood, including planning ahead for life after high school. 🎓

The RBMS Explorers poured over dictionaries, discovering new words and how to navigate the English language, as they played a game called Dictionary Bluff.

Reeds Brook Middle School would like to honor our Veterans. We are asking that parents and staff send a picture of their Veterans with their name and the branch they served in, along with the name of the person submitting the Veteran for recognition. You can submit this to one of the Social Studies teachers. The Social Studies teachers are Mrs. Gourmelon, Mr. Kash, and Ms. Oliver.
