Proud of our RBMS Boys’ Soccer team and Coach Oversmith! They were recognized this evening for their fundraising efforts to support Champion the Cure! Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Champion the Cure Challenge is the only large local cancer fundraiser which keeps 100% of all funds raised right here in our community.

8th grade students in Mr. Farrar’s class have been working on fabric mosaic tiles to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the nation. Each student decorated a red and white muslin square to reflect American values and historic events. These will be sewn together with 93,000 other squares from students across the nation, to form a glorious flag that will be on display in the Boston Common this fall. The national program sponsoring this huge collaborative art project is My America.

Wanted; Amateur Sleuths to crack the case on some unsolved mysteries. This year 8th graders from Mrs. Perkins and Mrs. Shrinks Writing classes have contributed mini mysteries to the anthology “Unsolved Case Files.” Less than a page each, these tense, flash fiction stories leave the readers to speculate guilt, innocence and what lurks behind the creaking door. Bravo to our young published authors from Reeds Brook!
