Thank you for your sacrifice, guidance, encouragement, and unwavering love. Your impact reaches far beyond the game.

Reflecting, rejoicing, and celebrating together! School City of Hammond joins our community in honoring Juneteenth, a beautiful celebration of freedom, resilience, and unity.

Important Reminder: In observance of the holiday, all School City of Hammond offices and buildings will be closed on Monday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd. We hope all of our students, families, and staff have a wonderful, safe, and meaningful day of celebration!

Congratulations to Michael Walker Jr and Jaron Jones for both making the podium at the IHSAA Boys Track and Field State Finals last night!

Mike is the State Runner-up at 2nd place in the 100m and placed 7th in the 200m. Only a Sophomore, Michael has qualified for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals! He was also nominated for a 2026 IndyStar High School Sports Award and will attend the ceremony Monday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis!

Jaron capped off an impressive HS track career by placing 7th in the 100m after missing the finals last season at state. Jaron has set a new standard for success at MHS track and field.

Morton is proud of these student athletes! They have now both medaled at back-to-back State Finals meets and made All-State track in back to back seasons.

Congratulations to Mike Walker Jr for placing 2nd and Jaron Jones for placing 7th in the 100m dash at the IHSAA State Finals! We are so proud of you both! Mike will run in the 200m final later this evening. The meet is currently under its 2nd rain delay.
