The Govs fell short but were in it to the last second with a 14-21 loss to Chesterton. It was an exciting game with great displays of sportsmanship all around.

Tonight we recognized our community heroes through our recent August storm. Thank you to officers MSgt. DeBoer, Ofc. Percak, Ofc. Becerra and Ofc. Rincon from Hammond Police and Assistant Chief Christopher Trtan, Battalion Chief Tommy Markovich, Captain Ron Johnson, Engineer Thomas Smith, Engineer Mathew Oldenburg, Private Cody Hartline, Private Johnathan Preston, Private Sebastian Diaz, EMT Collin Andrisko, Paramedic Aaron Arroyo from the Hammond Fire Department for coming out tonight!

Thank you to School City of Hammond Superintendent Anthony Salinas, School Board President Trustee Carlotta Blake King, School Board Trustee Evangeline Stanford, School Board Trustee Mellissa Guerra and other SCH district admin for attending our community night game!

The 1-1 Morton High School Football team travels to Michigan next week to play Unity Christian on Thursday night!

Morton High School Football hosts Chesterton this Friday for our Home Opener!

It will be our Community Night in the aftermath of the August 11th storms that hit Hammond and NWI. We are inviting vendors to attend our game and provide information and resources to attendees. Vendors will be located just outside of the entrance to the stadium available for anyone in the community. Please let me know if you are interested in being a vendor. Reminder that all non-high school students must have an adult chaperone in attendance and actively supervise them during sports events. All SCH MS and HS students in attendance must present their student ID at the ticketbooth. Adult chaperones must supervise their children at all times of the event and dismissal. Students found unsupervised at athletic events and their chaperone(s) will be removed from events without refund. There is no re-entry at athletic events. No outside food is permitted at athletic events. No backpacks or large bags are allowed at athletic events.
