🚨 EMERGENCY FOOD VOUCHERS AVAILABLE FOR NORTH TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

In response to the recent widespread power outages, North Township Trustee's Office are providing Emergency Food Voucher assistance to eligible residents who have been without power for 72 hours or more.

Residents must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License or ID with a current address. Power outages will be verified with NIPSCO, and an Emergency Application must be completed.

Assistance is provided on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

📍 East Chicago Office: 2100 Broadway St.
📍 Hammond Office: 5947 Hohman Ave.
• Monday - Friday • 9:30am - 4pm

Eligible communities include East Chicago, Griffith, Hammond, Highland, Munster, and Whiting.

⚠️ Please note that our offices are currently without internet and phone service. Applications will be completed manually.

🎉 WE’RE OPEN!

Thank you for your patience and understanding during the ongoing power outage. We’re happy to share that Hammond Public Library is OPEN today, Thursday, August 13, during our regular hours of 9 AM–9 PM! 📚💚

While much of our community is still without power, power has been restored at HPL, and we’re here for you. Stop by to enjoy our air conditioning, Wi-Fi, charging outlets, and library services while we’re open. 🔌❄️📶
