Thank you for your patience! We hope to soon have a temporary space for occasional workshops this Winter. At this point the Munster Community Park Social Center may be our best option so I am looking into that.
In 2020 our instruction model changed dramatically overnight and in 2021 most schools are understandably still not welcoming outside visitors. We have done a few events with Scout Troops and have a few more lined up already for 2022. More news to follow!

Each week has a different theme of sustainable urban design. Week 1: Gridlock Blocks has students designing and building sustainable, innovative, and futuristic transportation systems. Week 2: Scraping the Sky explores the theme of architecture, engineering, & structural design. Week 3: Going Green and Maximum Power delves into urban gardening and green space design, plus adding renewable energy sources. Week 4: City Life brings it all together and has students enrich their cities with arts and entertainment to design a city that fosters a sense of community, creativity, and visual interest.
Summer Camps are online only this year - we offer weekday morning camps for students entering grades 3 and up - don't delay and register now! Parents can choose individual days of camp starting at $40 per day with discounts for the fourth and fifth days in each week of camp. For example, 3 days totals $120 but 4 days totals $150 and all 5 days total only $170 for the week. Plus 2nd and 3rd siblings registered at the same time automatically receive an additional 50% discount!
Minecraft requires hardware capable of running Minecraft Java edition 1.16.5: Windows 7 (64 bit) or newer laptop or desktop PC, Apple laptop or desktop PC with any 64-bit OS X using 10.9 Maverick or newer, or Linux PC with any modern 64-bit distributions from 2014 onwards. Minimum graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce 400 Series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series with OpenGL 4.4 and at least 4GB available hard drive space for game core, maps and other files. The required Java edition of Minecraft will not run on an iPad.
A reliable internet connection is required for all camps. We will provide the Minecraft starter map for download and installation, which has been custom-built for our Engineering For Kids lessons.
