🎭✨ When the curtain rises, talent speaks for itself.

On August 8, 2026, Woodland Child Development Center proudly presented “The Wiz” through our Music Theater Intensive Camp at the Mark Spencer Auditorium at West Side Leadership Academy in Gary, Indiana.

What makes this production even more remarkable is not just what you see on stage, it’s what happened behind the scenes.

In just 14 days, these young performers learned, rehearsed, developed, and brought an entire theatrical production to life. An accomplishment that many professionals dedicate months — even a year — preparing for.

This is more than a performance. This is proof of what happens when young talent is given a platform, mentorship, discipline, and the opportunity to shine.
