What a great way to kick off a brand-new school year! A special shout-out to our amazing principals and counselors for welcoming everyone back and helping make the first day a success. We’re so grateful for your leadership, support, and dedication to our school community! 💙🧡

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for a brand-new school year! 🎉

✨ TUESDAY, AUGUST 25 — MEET & GREET
🕓 4:00–6:00 PM
🚪 Enter through Door A

Come walk the building, locate classrooms, meet teachers and staff, learn about curriculum and classroom expectations, review important school policies and procedures, and get your questions answered before the year begins!

🎒 WEDNESDAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

🍎 Breakfast begins at 7:40 AM
📚 Classes begin at 8:00 AM
⏰ Wednesday dismissal is at 1:00 PM. Every Wednesday is an early-release day so our staff can participate in professional development during the afternoon.

📱 CELL PHONE/ALL ELECTRONICS REMINDER:
Cell phones/ Any and All electronics must be locked away in students’ lockers from the first bell at 7:40 AM until the last bell at 3:00 PM. This requirement is in accordance with state law and SCH policy, and violations will result in disciplinary consequences.

If you need to reach your student during the school day, please contact the front office.

Please make sure students come prepared each day and understand these expectations before the first bell. We’re looking forward to a safe, successful, and exciting school year! 🧡💙🎉

Get ready for a great start to the school year! 🦂

Join us for Scorpions Unlock Success: Locker Practice Days! Students can stop by during their designated grade-level day and time to find their locker, practice opening their combination lock, and get help from Scott staff.

This is an open-house style event, so come anytime during your scheduled time—no appointment or specific arrival time is needed!

We encourage all students to attend, especially as lockers will play an important role in supporting our bell-to-bell cell phone and personal electronic device expectations.

We can't wait to help our Scorpions start the year feeling confident, prepared, and ready for success! 🧡💙

We are excited to launch Scott Middle School's Summer Reading Challenge 2026: Turn the Page, Start the Adventure!

Encourage your incoming Scott Middle School 7th and 8th graders to keep their reading skills strong over the summer by participating in this fun and rewarding challenge.

Reading Challenge logs will be available for pickup at the school from Monday, 6/8 through Thursday, 6/11, from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM in the main office.

You may also make a copy the Reading Challenge Log from home. If your student chooses to complete the digital version, please have them make a copy of the document and title it with their first and last name before beginning the challenge

Students can complete the challenge as they read throughout the summer. If they complete 10 challenges, they may return their completed log on the first day of school, 8/12/26, where they will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Let’s work together to keep our students reading, exploring, and growing all summer long!
