One of the hallmarks of a Montessori education is the mixed-age classroom.
By learning alongside children of different ages, students have the opportunity to both teach and learn from one another. Younger children are inspired by older peers, while older students build confidence, leadership, empathy, and responsibility as they mentor those around them.
These meaningful relationships create a strong sense of community and help children grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. 🍎

Math comes to life in a Montessori classroom!
Montessori math beads help children see, touch, and explore mathematical concepts through hands-on learning. By working with concrete materials before abstract numbers, students build a deep understanding of quantity, place value, patterns, and operations—all while developing confidence and a love of learning.
It’s just one of the many ways Montessori makes learning meaningful, engaging, and fun! ❤️🍎

Meet the MCS Team: Welcome, Miss Erin!
We are so excited to welcome Miss Erin Boelt as the new Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom! ❤️🍎
Before joining MCS, Miss Erin worked as a social worker in the Indianapolis area. After enrolling her own son in our Early Childhood program, she fell in love with Montessori, our school community, and the incredible staff.
✨ What is she most looking forward to?
“Getting to do the heart work of educating the most absorbent minds!”
💛 What does she hope her students remember?
“Miss Erin’s classroom is one of stability, safety, creativity, and freedom to do the work of childhood.”
🌱 Outside of school, Miss Erin enjoys reading, spending time outdoors with her children, crafting, and gardening.
🎨 What does she hope to bring to MCS?
Creative art projects!
Please join us in giving Miss Erin a warm MCS welcome! We are so excited for our youngest learners to experience all she has to offer.
