The City of Hammond's Community Development Department has an impactful resource to share with residents recovering from the August 11th storm!

The City of Hammond Homeowner Emergency Repair Program allows income-qualified residents to apply for a loan of up to $5,000 for emergency repairs whenever a threat to life or safety exists. It is important to note that this resource is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and completing the application process does not guarantee the loan will be granted.

The "Storm Recovery Resources" section that is located on the homepage of www.gohammond.com has a link to the Homeowner Emergency Repair Program's guidelines, checklist, and application.

Any additional questions should be directed to the City of Hammond's Community Development Department by calling 219-853-6371 or emailing Director Owana Miller at [email protected].
