๐ŸŽถ MAKING MUSIC AT CCS! ๐ŸŽต

After spending the first week learning classroom routines and procedures, our music students are officially making some noise! ๐ŸŽถ Our Little Lions are getting their hands on instruments, learning new musical skills, and, of course, singing plenty of songs along the way!

Our Kindergarten through 4th grade students visit the Music Room each week as part of their enrichment classes, giving them the opportunity to explore rhythm, melody, instruments, singing, and more. As students move into middle school, they can continue developing those skills by choosing Music as one of their elective courses.

We are so excited to welcome Mrs. Dugas as our new music teacher and love seeing the excitement she is already bringing to our music program. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’› From introducing our youngest Lions to the joy of making music to giving our older students the opportunity to continue growing their talents, we are excited to see what this year holds!

It looks like the fun is officially beginning in the Music Room! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽค

Day 19 | Service

Today, fifth grade student and Elementary Beta Club President Finley DePriest leads us in prayer as we focus on service. ๐Ÿ™

God gives each of us opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those around us. May He give us willing hearts that look for ways to help, encourage, and care for othersโ€”not for recognition, but simply because we have been called to love and serve.

May we remember that no act of service is too small and that when we serve others with love, we are ultimately serving Him.

Day 18 | Love for Godโ€™s Word

Today, fifth grade student Caroline Lamonte leads us in prayer as we focus on a love for Godโ€™s Word. ๐Ÿ™

Godโ€™s Word teaches us, guides us, encourages us, and helps us grow closer to Him. May we develop a desire not only to read Scripture, but to allow His truth to shape our thoughts, our choices, and the way we live each day.

May His Word guide our hearts and help us become more like Jesus.

๐Ÿฆ First High School Chapel of 2026โ€“2027! ๐Ÿ™Œ

What a powerful way to begin our year! Wednesday, our high school students welcomed Micah Farmer from Face It! Ministries, who shared a message titled โ€œRun TO the Battle!โ€

Micah challenged our students to remember that when battles come, we donโ€™t have to run awayโ€”we can face them with faith and the tools God has given us:

๐Ÿ™ Fight the battle with Godโ€™s Word and prayer.
โค๏ธ What is stored in your heart will flow out of your mouth.
๐Ÿ™Œ You are NOT stuck in your struggles.
๐Ÿ’ช Faith means your problems donโ€™t have power over you.

๐Ÿ“– 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has given us power, love, and self-discipline.

What a message for the start of a new school year! May our students have the courage to run TO the battle, trusting God every step of the way.

Thank you, Micah, for pouring into our CCS students! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Day 17 | Peace

Today, Pre-K3 teacher Mrs. Jillian Favalora, along with her students, leads us in prayer as we focus on peace. ๐Ÿ™

Mrs. Favalora shared todayโ€™s prayer with her class, giving some of our youngest Lions the opportunity to participate in our 21 Days of Prayer alongside our entire CCS community.

When life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or difficult, Jesus reminds us that He gives us a peace the world cannot give. May we rest in His presence, trust Him through every challenge, and learn to be peacemakers in our classrooms, homes, and community.

Join Mrs. Favalora and her Pre-K3 students as we pray. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿƒ Mrs. Millerโ€™s 4th grade class put their science skills into action this week with a hands-on investigation of leaves! Students carefully observed, measured, and classified different leaves while learning more about the world around them. We love seeing our students explore Godโ€™s creation through hands-on learning! ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฟ

Day 16 | Identity in Christ ๐Ÿ’™

Today, eighth grade student Lyla Shaughnessy leads us in prayer as we focus on our identity in Christ. ๐Ÿ™

In a world that can make us feel like our worth is measured by what others think, how we look, what we accomplish, or how we compare, may we remember that our true identity is found in Christ.

May God give us confidence to be who He created us to be, courage to stand firm in our faith, and the assurance that our worth comes from Him alone.

๐Ÿงช Hands-On Learning in 5th Grade๐Ÿ”ฌ

Our 5th grade students put science into action last week as they conducted experiments exploring different ways to measure matter!

Students worked hands-on with mass, weight, density, and volume, giving them the opportunity to see the concepts theyโ€™ve been learning come to life. We love seeing our Lions learning through discovery, experimentation, and a little bit of science fun! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Way to go, 5th Grade ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿงช
