The right school doesn't just doesn’t educate a child—it helps shape who they become.

At Courtney Christian School, students in grades 4th–7th are given the opportunity to grow in a Christ-centered environment where relationships matter, and every student is valued.

With thoughtfully sized classes, dedicated teachers, leadership opportunities, fine arts programs, and a strong academic foundation, CCS helps students develop the confidence, character, and skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Our students are more than a number. They are known, loved, and encouraged to discover the unique gifts God has given them while building meaningful relationships with their teachers and classmates.

We currently have limited openings available in grades 4th–7th for the 2026-2027 school year.

This week, Courtney Christian School was proudly represented at The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta by 5th grade homeroom teacher Mrs. Savannah Stafford. Mrs. Stafford joined educators from across the country for an unforgettable professional development experience focused on innovative teaching strategies, student engagement, and creating an exciting classroom culture.

Throughout the week, participants explored high-energy instructional techniques and creative ways to inspire students both academically and personally. We are excited for Mrs. Stafford to bring back fresh ideas and new experiences to share with her students at CCS.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, Mrs. Stafford was one of 18 Tangipahoa Parish educators surprised with a special “golden ticket” opportunity to experience The Ron Clark Academy. We are incredibly thankful to Pray Sonic for making this amazing experience possible and for investing in educators in such a meaningful way.

Now the only thing left may be finding someone to build a stage for Mrs. Stafford’s classroom!

While summer may look a little quieter around campus, there is still so much happening behind the scenes at CCS, and our custodial team is at the heart of it all!

They are truly the unsung heroes of our school, working tirelessly day in and day out to ensure our teachers and staff have clean, safe, and welcoming spaces to do what they do best. Summer is certainly no break for them!

Mrs. Pamela, Mrs. Tracey, and Mrs. Kim are currently hard at work in the classrooms of Ruth Burton Hall stripping and waxing floors as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Mrs. Pamela’s two brothers have even jumped in to help with the waxing efforts, turning it into a true family affair!

By the end of the summer, every classroom and hallway in the Admin Building, the High School, and Ruth Burton Hall, along with the gymnasium, will be cleaned, stripped, waxed, and ready to welcome our students and teachers back for another amazing year at CCS.

Their dedication, attention to detail, and pride in our school do not go unnoticed. We are so incredibly thankful for the many hours they pour into making sure our campus is clean, beautiful, and ready for our CCS family.

Thank you all for your hard work, commitment, and faithful service to CCS! 💙🦁💛

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a gift we can never fully repay, and we are deeply grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage. 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect with thankful hearts and remember those who served so selflessly.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Courtney Christian School, we pray you have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Today, we celebrate a truly special group of students as the CCS 8th Grade Class of 2026 graduates. 💙🦁

This class has helped shape so much of who we are as a school. They were the very first class at CCS to have two Kindergarten classes, and as they grew, CCS grew right alongside them. Each year they moved up, another homeroom was added—until this year, when they became our very first 8th grade class to graduate with two homerooms.

What a gift it has been to watch these students grow from little lions into the young men and women God created them to be. We have watched them learn, lead, serve, encourage one another, and leave a lasting mark on our CCS family. Their class will always hold a special place in the story of Courtney Christian School.

Congratulations, CCS 8th Grade Class of 2026. We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see where God leads you next.

Our CCS JV and Cubs Cheer End of Year Celebration was such a special night! 💙📣

This season was filled with growth, teamwork, school spirit, and so many fun memories. We are proud of each cheerleader and the special talents, personality, and joy they brought to their squad this year.

We also want to recognize Samantha McDaniel for an incredible first year leading our JV and Cubs Cheer programs. One of the sweetest parts of the evening was hearing her speak about each cheerleader individually and celebrate what makes them so unique and special. Her love for these girls and dedication to the program were evident throughout the entire season.

We are so thankful for a wonderful year of JV and Cubs Cheer at CCS! 🦁💙

Our High School Biology students in Mrs. Pamela James’ class recently had the opportunity to dive deeper into the study of anatomy through a hands-on shark dissection lab.

Students explored the shark’s anatomy and digestive system while gaining a firsthand look at the incredible complexity and detail found within God’s creation. Experiences like these allow our students to move beyond textbooks and engage in meaningful, hands-on learning in the classroom.

At CCS, we love watching our students combine curiosity, critical thinking, and science while gaining a deeper appreciation for the Creator behind it all. 💙🦈
