A few times a year, we bring the entire Division for Student Affairs together to celebrate our wins, fellowship, and all that we’re looking forward to in the year ahead!

While enjoying ice cream from Captain Tasty’s Ice Cream Truck, we celebrated employees who have been with us for 5 and 10 years, although it feels like they’ve been a part of the DSA family for much longer!

We also recognized employees who have demonstrated selfless service and a commitment to excellence. These individuals were nominated and selected by their DSA peers, making this recognition even more special. In a division as large as ours, it’s phenomenal to see colleagues taking the time to recognize and appreciate one another’s contributions.

We’re grateful for the people who make DSA what it is, and we’re excited for a great semester ahead!

Good afternoon, Lions! Welcome to another Meet a Lion Monday: Summer Edition. Every week, we shine a spotlight on the offices, services, and programs in Student Affairs that support Southeastern students.

Today, I’m happy to introduce Craig Marinello, Director of Career Services.

The Office of Career Services provides resume and cover letter reviews, interview practice and preparation, career advice, internship support, job search tips, and assistance with Handshake, a career platform that connects students and recent graduates with employers. They also give students and alumni opportunities to meet employers who are actively hiring. All these resources are available to Lions well before graduation.

No matter where a student or alumni may be in their career journey, Career Services is here to offer guidance and help job seekers move forward with confidence.

This Monday, we’re recognizing all Career Services does to help Southeastern students prepare, connect, and succeed as they move from campus to career.

Good afternoon, Lions! It’s time for another Meet a Lion Monday: Summer Edition. Each week, we highlight the offices, services, and programs in the Division for Student Affairs that support Southeastern students.

Today, meet Gary Prescott, the Director of Transportation Services.

Transportation Services keeps Southeastern moving by helping students, faculty, staff, and visitors with their daily transportation needs. They handle vehicle registration, parking permits, parking maps, visitor info and passes, Lion Traxx shuttles, and shuttle tracking to help everyone get where they need to go.

Whether a student is parking on campus, catching a shuttle, finding their way to class, or visiting Southeastern for the first time, Transportation Services makes it easier to get around campus.

This Monday, we’re celebrating how Transportation Services supports campus access, mobility, and connection one Lion Traxx stop at a time.

I had the opportunity to welcome an outstanding group of incoming Lions and their families this past Wednesday!

It was great to see students connecting with our student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and campus departments. The excitement and energy on display made it easy to look forward to an incredible fall semester.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing Shelby Bordelon, Miss Southeastern 2024 and our current 2026 Miss Louisiana, alongside our current Miss Southeastern Louisiana University, Miranda Sensat. Seeing our students represent both the university and the state is always something to celebrate.

Welcome to the Lion family, Class of 2030—we can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish!
