VA is discontinuing Chapter 35 education benefits for high school programs - VA News A change in public law discontinues DEA benefits for secondary education for any program starting on or after Aug. 1, 2026.

We just learned about this wonderful program that trains veterans to fly drones and become certified with the FAA.

Who we are | V2D All listed veterans are FAA Part 107 certified and trained to NIST standards, ready for deployment in commercial drone operations.

We want to give a huge shoutout to all of our military-affiliated students who graduated on Saturday. We had 75 students cross the stage who were veterans, current service members, military children and military spouses. We are so proud of them all! All three of these students are current and formers members of the Louisiana National Guard. Geaux Guard!

Please join us for our Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony on Friday, May 15 at 8:00 a.m. in the War Memorial Student Union Park. This event is open to the public.

Peace Officers Memorial Day is observed each year during National Police Week to recognize federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who have lost their lives or were injured in the line of duty while serving and protecting their communities. It is a time to reflect, remember, and show our gratitude for their courage and sacrifice.

We invite our campus and community members to stand with us as we pay tribute to those heroes who will never be forgotten. 💙🖤

The deadline to apply is May 15.

This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a 2026 high school graduate who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor's degree or a community/junior college designed for a direct transfer to a four-year program. Preference is given to applicants who are dependents of active military personnel or a veteran. The scholarship will be paid by August 1, 2026.
