This year for Giving Day, all funds raised through the Southeastern Louisiana University Office of Military and Veteran Success will be added to The American Legion Post 156 Auxiliary Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to students who are a veteran, on active duty, in the reserves of the armed forces, a dependent child of a veteran of the armed forces, or the spouse of a U.S. military service personnel.

A change in public law discontinues DEA benefits for secondary education for any program starting on or after Aug. 1, 2026.

We just learned about this wonderful program that trains veterans to fly drones and become certified with the FAA.

All listed veterans are FAA Part 107 certified and trained to NIST standards, ready for deployment in commercial drone operations.

We want to give a huge shoutout to all of our military-affiliated students who graduated on Saturday. We had 75 students cross the stage who were veterans, current service members, military children and military spouses. We are so proud of them all! All three of these students are current and formers members of the Louisiana National Guard. Geaux Guard!
