Check out these cool students who presented their semester-long research projects on human/wildlife conflict to the Baton Rouge Zoo this week!

The course was Anthropology 4100: Culture and the Environment.

Dr. Gilbert reported that the scimitar-horned oryxes were very interested and attentive, but the colobus monkeys slept through the entire presentation.

They were able to conclude their trip with a behind-the-scenes visit with the giraffes!!

We were proud to honor two special students at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Awards Convocation this week.

Connor Small was awarded the Marc P. Riedel Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Criminal Justice.

Kaleigh Bourgeois was awarded the F. Dale Parent Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Sociology.

Congratulations to Connor and Kaleigh and all of the other award recipients!
