Please remember that tomorrow is an early dismissal day. Regular full days begin on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28.

Dismissal: 12:15 PM

Middle School
Start time: 8:00 AM
Dismissal: 1:00 PM

Elementary School

We’re Ready to Welcome Our Wolves!

Here’s what families and students need to know as we get ready to start the school year:

Tuesday, August 25 | Open House, 4–6 PM
Come reconnect with our school community, meet teachers and staff, visit classrooms, and get familiar with expectations and procedures before the first day!

Wednesday, August 26 | FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
We’ll welcome students back with an early dismissal as we focus on relationships, routines, and getting everyone settled in.

Thursday, August 27 & Friday, August 28
Regular school schedules begin as we continue building routines, reinforcing expectations, and supporting our students.

Grab-and-Go meals will be available at participating school locations through Tuesday, August 25. Visit School City of Hammond’s website and social media for locations, times, and details.

We know this isn’t the start to the year any of us anticipated, but we’re excited to welcome our students back and begin this next chapter together.

School Update

We understand that many of our staff and families are still recovering from recent events and may not yet be able to safely return to work or school. For this reason, we have made the decision to postpone the start of the school year.

Additional information about the remainder of the week and our revised return-to-school schedule will be shared in the coming days.
