Attention Foster Parents!! Attention Social Workers!! Attention Teachers!!

As I begin this new and exciting chapter of life, I can’t help but think of the many young men and young women that are also beginning a new & often terrifying chapter in their lives. Aging out of foster care means these often-unprepared kids are on their own with no where to go, no job or even job prospects, with only a bag or backpack of the clothes the state has provided them with twice a year. What future do these young people see? Homelessness? S*x trafficking? Selling drugs or even themselves so they can eat? I can’t even imagine.

In my desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others I am challenging myself to help as many coming of age foster children as the Lord puts in my path. This could mean financial education services and recommendations during college applications, maybe training & support credit consultant certification or filling an open position at Consumer Education Consultants, LLC. My objective I to connect with these kids well before they find themselves on the streets alone.

If you know of any foster kid(s) ages 16 and up that could benefit from some support or even a little encouragement, please contact me with their info or them with mine. At 18 years old we are still children, and no child should be left out in the cold when the check stop coming in.
