Our 8th graders had an amazing experience today with “Be Pro, Be Proud!” They were able to explore a variety of careers through interactive virtual reality experiences. Workstations included operating an excavator, practicing welding, driving tractor-trailer, working in construction, and more. I also want to give a shout out to our 8th graders! They behaved very well and we are so proud of them! Thank you to CTE, RSHS, the “Be Pro, Be Proud” team, bus drivers, and chaperones for a great day!

🚨📣Attention Parents: Power has been restored at Hamlet Middle School, and the school day will resume normal operations. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

📢Attention Parents: Hamlet Middle School is currently experiencing a power issue, with a large portion of the building without power. Duke Energy is enroute to assess the outage and provide an estimated restoration time.

In the meantime, students whose classrooms are without power are safely waiting in the gymnasium with their teachers. If power can be restored quickly, the school day will continue as normal. If the outage is expected to continue, we will need to dismiss students early.

We will provide updates through phone messages, ClassDojo, and the HMS page as more information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
