What an inspiring Convocation!

Today was a beautiful reminder of the heart, purpose, and passion behind Richmond County Schools. From the inspiring speeches that challenged and encouraged us, to celebrating some truly exceptional members of our school family, it was a day filled with pride and gratitude. 💚💛

We are especially proud to celebrate Mrs. Gilliam, our Support Staff of the Year, whose dedication and heart make such a difference each day. And what an incredible honor to celebrate Coach McCaskill, our Teacher of the Year! We couldn't be more proud as he now goes on to represent Richmond County Schools as our RCS Teacher of the Year!

We are also incredibly grateful for the consistent support, encouragement, and leadership of our Superintendent, County Office staff, and School Board members. Their commitment to our schools, educators, students, and families is evident in so many ways and reminds us that we truly are stronger when we work together.

What a wonderful way to begin a new school year! Here's to another year of inspiring, supporting, growing, and making a difference together. 💚💛🐝

We are SO incredibly proud of our very own, Coach McCaskill! 💚💛

We are truly blessed to have him as part of the LJ Bell Elementary family. 🐝 His dedication to our students, his commitment to education, and the positive impact he makes each day are just a few of the many reasons he is so deserving of this honor.

We know he will represent Richmond County Schools’ educators, students, and families with pride, passion, and excellence as our County Teacher of the Year! 🍎

Congratulations, Coach McCaskill! We are cheering you on every step of the way! 💙 💛 💚💛🐝

What an amazing first required workday we had at LJ Bell today! 🐝 💙 💛

It was so great to see our colleagues, meet new ones, catch up after the summer, and then jump right into our first staff meeting of the year! We talked about our growth from last year, reviewed data, shared important staff information, and covered so much more as we prepare for another fantastic year together.

We also listened to a book about perspective and participated in an activity that challenged us to pause, look at things from another point of view, and really think about how we see situations. 💭

What a great reminder that our perspective isn't always the whole picture. Sometimes, we just need to pause, listen, and look again. 🐝

We ended our meeting with a Sense of Belonging reflection led by Mrs. Crawley, giving us an opportunity to pause and reflect on what it means to feel connected, valued, and truly part of our LJ Bell family, both students and staff. ❤️

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTO for kicking off our morning with a delicious breakfast and to the Robinettes for treating us to an incredible lunch! Your thoughtfulness and generosity made our first day back even more special.

We are so excited about all that we are going to accomplish together this year! Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year at LJ Bell! 🐝📚✨
