Molly and Kenzie are both selling Butter Braids pastries for our PH Music fundraiser! The pastries come frozen, and are a great solution for a last minute dessert, especially with the upcoming holiday season!

People have asked me lately what our financial needs are in the music department, so here are some examples:
*Right now we do not have enough black music chairs for all of our band and choir students. We are short 6, and if we continue to grow, we will still not have enough. Just to give you an idea of our growth, in October 2022 the high school choir had 27 students. In October 2024, that number is 51.
*Most of our school owned instruments are in bad shape, and quite literally falling apart. Some instruments have been Frankenstein'd with various parts and pieces, and some instruments are held together with tape and rubber bands.
*The high school band and choir are taking a trip to Cleveland in January to perform before the start of a Cavs game. This is a HUGE opportunity for our district's music department to perform on a national stage! We are trying to lower the cost to students so that it is feasible for everyone to go. I don't think that the cost of a trip should prevent a student from having an incredible educational music experience.

This Butter Braids fundraiser is obviously not going to cover the cost of all of these things. But it's a good start.

Time to brag on my kids! This year we participated in the Cultural Center of Henry County’s High School Musical Awards. Today we performed in Napoleon for their Spring ArtsFest, and were given our awards. We won 16 awards total, and 9 of those were as a company, which was the most of all 4 schools who were competing. Our kids are doing great things!!
