We want to congratulate and celebrate Amy Hudson Estepp, from SWOCA, as she is a proud member of the 2026 Library Leadership Ohio cohort and LLO Planning Committee.
The 2026 Library Leadership Ohio (LLO) cohort gathered at the Hocking Hills State Park Lodge and Conference Center on July 21-23, 2026. At the event, librarians from public, academic, school, and special libraries engaged in a variety of sessions and activities to support leadership development and build connections with colleagues from Ohio’s library community. What followed was an energizing experience that invited participants to consider not only how they lead today, but how they hope to grow in the years ahead.

What a beautiful evening for several of the SWOCA staff to enjoy a GREAT ballgame. We were happy to see the Dayton Dragons 🐲 beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels 🌽 8-2!!

We love working together and we love spending time together outside of the office. It’s a bonus when we can bring our family and friends too!! 🤍

Meet Kayden Mathews! Our new Systems Administrator.

I'm excited to be a part of the SWOCA team! Everyone here has been incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable.

I actually started with a Psychology degree from Grace College and worked in social work. But after constantly being the 'go-to tech guy' at my job, I realized IT was my true calling. It allows me to combine my love for problem-solving with my desire to help people.
Fast forward 8 years, and I’ve grown from a solo Tier 1 tech support guy in a basement office, to working as a System Administrator!

Outside of work, I’m usually gaming, hiking, flying drones, playing guitar, researching random tech, or hanging out with family and friends.

I look forward to meeting everyone! I'm thrilled to be here, and I'm always happy to help whenever you need a hand.

Meet Eric Braun! Our new Security Compliance Analyst.

I'm excited to be part of the SWOCA team and looking forward to this next chapter in my career! I grew up in Indiana and studied Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Cincinnati State. I later continued my education in Indianapolis before returning to southeast Indiana about eight years ago.

Throughout my career, I've enjoyed working with technology in many different forms. My experience has ranged from diagnosing and repairing electrical systems to creating custom Linux environments, with just about everything in between. I have always enjoyed understanding how things work and finding practical solutions to complex problems. I'm also a strong believer in sound cybersecurity and privacy practices, and I enjoy continually learning about new software, hardware, and emerging technologies.

One of the things I appreciate most about working in technology is that there is always something new to learn. Whether I'm researching the latest cybersecurity trends, experimenting with new platforms, or exploring ways to improve existing systems, I'm always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and sharpen my skills.

Outside of work, my family keeps me busy. You'll often find me cheering on my son at baseball games or supporting my daughters at cheerleading competitions. When I'm not spending time with family, I'm usually immersed in a hands-on project. I enjoy building, repairing, and modifying just about anything, from designing electronic circuits to restoring or customizing motorcycles. If it involves solving a problem, creating something new, or figuring out how it works, chances are I'll enjoy it.

I'm excited to be part of the SWOCA team and look forward to building new relationships, sharing ideas, and helping our member organizations create stronger, more secure technology environments.

Meet Bill Gruber! Our new Service Coordinator.

I’m excited to be part of the SWOCA team and looking forward to this new phase of my career! I was born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati and still reside in Delhi Township today. As the youngest of eight children—six boys and two girls. I attended Elder High School, where I met my wife, Cecilia, a Seton High School graduate, nurse, and the oldest of five children. I studied Mechanical Engineering and Computer Communications at Cincinnati State. We’ve been happily married for 33 years and are proud parents of our son, Ben, who recently began his professional career in the IT field.

My educational background includes studies in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Business/Computer Communications. I bring 29 years of experience in information technology, including 27 years with Indian Hill Schools, where I most recently served as Technology Coordinator. Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed combining technical knowledge with problem-solving and a hands-on approach to technology.

Outside of my professional career, I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands. Shortly after we were married, my wife and I renovated an older home, which turned me into a self-taught home repair enthusiast. I’ve also always enjoyed tinkering with cars and have performed about 90% of my own automobile maintenance and home improvement projects over the years.

When I’m not working on technology, home projects, or vehicles, you’ll often find me enjoying a round of golf with friends I’ve known since high school. My family’s favorite vacation destination is Hilton Head Island, and I’m an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to college football. I’m excited to get to know everyone at SWOCA and contribute to the great work being done across the organization.
