👋 Meet the New Faces of Our Tech Team!
We've added some amazing new team members, and we can't wait for you to get to know them!
Over the next few days, we'll be introducing each of our newest Tech Team members and sharing a little about who they are, what they do, and some fun facts along the way.
Whether you're one of our districts, a client, or a partner, we hope these introductions help you put a face to the name the next time you reach out for support.
Be sure to follow along and help us give them a warm welcome in the comments! 🎉
Meet Eric Braun! Our new Security Compliance Analyst.
I'm excited to be part of the SWOCA team and looking forward to this next chapter in my career! I grew up in Indiana and studied Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Cincinnati State. I later continued my education in Indianapolis before returning to southeast Indiana about eight years ago.
Throughout my career, I've enjoyed working with technology in many different forms. My experience has ranged from diagnosing and repairing electrical systems to creating custom Linux environments, with just about everything in between. I have always enjoyed understanding how things work and finding practical solutions to complex problems. I'm also a strong believer in sound cybersecurity and privacy practices, and I enjoy continually learning about new software, hardware, and emerging technologies.
One of the things I appreciate most about working in technology is that there is always something new to learn. Whether I'm researching the latest cybersecurity trends, experimenting with new platforms, or exploring ways to improve existing systems, I'm always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and sharpen my skills.
Outside of work, my family keeps me busy. You'll often find me cheering on my son at baseball games or supporting my daughters at cheerleading competitions. When I'm not spending time with family, I'm usually immersed in a hands-on project. I enjoy building, repairing, and modifying just about anything, from designing electronic circuits to restoring or customizing motorcycles. If it involves solving a problem, creating something new, or figuring out how it works, chances are I'll enjoy it.
I'm excited to be part of the SWOCA team and look forward to building new relationships, sharing ideas, and helping our member organizations create stronger, more secure technology environments.
