🌊🐟 Taking STEAM Beyond the Classroom! 🦈
Professional learning took our Park teachers to the Georgia coast this weekend! Christina Vinson, Trina McClung, and Meghan Hagan participated in the Guy Harvey Conservation Education Program at 4-H Camp Jekyll, gaining hands-on experiences that connect science, environmental conservation, and real-world learning.
From studying sharks and lionfish to seine net fishing, exploring marshlands, and hiking maritime forests, our teachers experienced firsthand how Georgia’s coastal ecosystems connect to global conservation efforts.
🌟 We are proud to celebrate all three educators earning their Guy Harvey Conservation Educator certification, opening the door for Park Elementary to be recognized as a Guy Harvey Conservation School!
This experience reflects our commitment to meaningful STEAM professional learning—equipping teachers with new knowledge, authentic experiences, and innovative ways to bring environmental responsibility to life for our Tiger Cubs.
At Park, we don’t just teach STEAM. We experience it, explore it, and bring it back to our students! 🐯💚
