Loving Hands is a Christian home-based childcare and pre-school. We have been established in the Bitterroot Valley since 1995. We have a loving environment that takes children from 0-12 years.We do have daily Bible reading, Bible songs and prayer. We do not teach doctrine but that God has created them special and how to treat each other special. We do celebrate Christmas and Easter. We are very in

volved with every aspect of a child's learning and development. We are a home learning environment that offers education in a loving atmosphere. We do believe in more natural learning as opposed to a lot of busy work that is above a child's developmental stage. We do more reading, puzzles, projects, planting, developing large and small motor skills with younger children.We do have a constructive childcare. We try to use very little media and more hands on. Winters can get long so we are known to watch a movie once in awhile. We have two childcare facilities, Loving Hands I and Loving Hands II. We are located in Hamilton close to Rocky Mountain Lab. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday....7:30am-5:15pm. We do not do drop in care as each of our spots are reserved for children on a full time basis. We do take children who do not come full time, however parents pay for full time.

After 31 years of childcare, Loving Hands Childcare will CLOSE June 10th, 2021. David and I loved being there to stand in for you mom's and dad's. Thank you to all who not only saw us as childcare but also family. Your children were not just a paycheck for us, but little ones to love, educate, and give values for their future. We also have funny stories to last us for life. I wish I could tell you what your child has told us about what goes on behind your closed doors. 🤣.We have found so much joy in these littles. We're so proud when we hear of our kids that graduate and go to college and know We've been a part of them. Every child and parent takes a part of David and I with them when they leave. Our home is always open to you. I'll always feed you. I may patent hamburger gravy over rice. I think I made gallons of gravy and 200 pounds of rice. I'm always open to sharing my recipe for those interested😅. 🐄 🍚. So much in our hearts. We love you all and thank you for 31 years of love and trust with your most precious gifts.

Whoa!! Was it June the last time I did a update? I noticed that there have been a lot of visitors and thought I'd update my page. What with COVID happening in March we went from 10 children down to 4. That was hard but it ended up being a good thing. As of yet we haven't had COVID invade our house or childcare. David and I got COVID and closed for 2 weeks but that is as far as it has gone. We are very thankful. As of yet we decided to stay with just 5 kids. Happy June. I haven't posted on my page as you can see for months and I'm told I need to update more than once a year. I'll try to do better but no promise. If you look at what time it is when I'm writing this post...11:36pm to be exact... you know that my time is spent caring and teaching children and my family.
Thank you all who have visited my site and may be wondering about who we are at Loving Hands Childcare. Nothing has changed in 29 years. We strive and will continue to strive to not only love and care for your child but to educate then in a home environment. This is my 29th year doing childcare in Ravalli County. I am the oldest childcare here. My husband and I do childcare together, he's been my helper, partner, best friend and the kids go to when I say no! We do very well together. We celebrated 42 years of friendship and we love working side by side. In this COVID VIRUS season I'm so glad we had the quarantine thing figured out.
We do have a busy summer planned but without our usual going to the pool, splash pads and fun bowling. We will spend more time hiking and picniking and maybe fishing.

Sorry for taking so long to update post. Please know I put into kiddos all my time. I am not on my site much to update and I've gotten where I don't want to post pictures of our children. We do so many fun things and experiments for fun and education that makes learning fun. I believe children learn as much if not more with hands on.

Welcome fall. What a wonderful, amazing fall!! Christmas is only 61 days away. All stores are already gearing up for Christmas but what about Thanksgiving? Halloween is not my favorite holiday but celebrating Harvest is. Pumpkins, corn, squash, gourds....beautiful and tasty too.
We've had a laid back start to preschool this year. Too nice to stay inside so we get out and play in the leaves. Lots of natural learning there..color, feel, leaf prints, big little leaves and leaf bouquets...and lets not forget the forts to build also .
We have one infant opening (0-1 year) available. We welcome nursing mom's. In fact we encourage mom's whether breast or bottle to come daily and spend time with their little one.

August 30th, 2018
We can't believe summer vacation is over!! It has been a great summer and fun filled with lots of new memories and friendships.
To finish our summer off we did a Missoula splash pad and picnic. This week saw us go to the fair parade and a picnic then home. A very fun day.
To all my older summer kiddos I cant wait til next summer.
To my younger kiddos I cant wait to see what exploring and fun learning we can experience this new school year.
