If you use AT&T cell service and do not like spam calls, download the ATT ActiveArmor app.
It helps cut down on robo/spam/unknown numbers. It has a feature that allows for reverse lookup also. I have used it over a year and it has decreased the majority of these calls.

Little Principal list for first few days:

On the First Day:

1. Be Visible and Welcoming: Greet students, parents, and staff at the entrance or in hallways. Be approachable to ease first-day jitters.
2. Support New Students: Ensure staff are available to help with lockers, schedules, and navigation, as these are common sources of anxiety.
3. Reinforce Routines: Ensure homeroom lists, bell schedules, and classroom assignments are clear. Monitors should be in hallways to assist.
4. Communicate Vision: Briefly share your goals for the year during a morning announcement or assembly to set a positive tone.
5. Check on Teachers: Visit classrooms to observe and offer support, ensuring teachers feel backed as they establish routines.

I always hated professional development at the beginning of school! What if teachers just prepped their classrooms and established connections with parents. Small brief meetings with PLCs probably would be more beneficial!

For all those that feel the need to click quickly on text, ads, and especially social media links that have false data, please fight the urge to do so. Cyber attacks will increase and all bad actors are looking for control! We just received one of many text messages threatening us about a ticket…which is fake! Immediately, delete and block these senders!

Well, working on Smart TVs today. Over the last month, I have had to setup “plug-n-play” devices and smart TVs. Don’t feel bad when you cannot setup a “simple” device. The manufacturer has designed it so you will need a techie!
