We are talking all about habits this month, and it's a refresher that I am giving myself, not just to listeners of the Sustainable Teacher Podcast.

Last week we focused on daily habits of a Sustainable Teacher, and this week we focus on monthly habits. Give both episodes a listen and come back here to comment with your favorite tip, the one you'll be implementing first 👍🏼

Let’s get practical! Productivity is great and all, but dang it’s also exhausting. So instead of focusing on productivity for productivity’s sake, how about we set up systems that allow us to stop obsessing over all the things we need to get done, so we can spend that physical and mental space on more important things - our students, our kids, ourselves and our relationships.

Who’s with me?

Learn more and the 5 daily habits of a sustainable teacher in today’s new episode that you can find on my website or your favorite podcast app.

Who has jumped on the bandwagon that is a project management software??? Anyone?

When I was still in the classroom, the software options that are around today had not quite hit my awareness or the teacher-tech perspective yet, but now that I’m fully implementing one such system, I can share how it has totally REVOLUTIONIZED my project management in business and life, and how I know it can revolutionize teacher project management as well.

Come give today’s episode on the Sustainable Teacher a listen. I’ll see you there.

Sustainable Teacher Podcast : 83. Project Management for Teachers | My New-Found Love

It’s easy to reflect at the end or beginning of a school year as a teacher - but I bet you only reflect on your teacher-related identity and nothing else, or at least not through any other lens than that of a teacher.

That’s why I LOVE this time of the year - not just because I love Christmas, but because I LOVE reflecting on big chunks of time like a year past.

Join me in a little behind-the-scenes journey today on the podcast where I show you my ENTIRE process of reflecting on a year past, and setting up the next year for a more intentional one.

Tell me, do you love this time of the year and all things reflecting and annual planning?

Organization is a topic I could talk about and focus on in my own life all. day. long. I LOVE all things organization, but we aren’t organizing just for organizing’s sake. Just like we don’t flip our classrooms for flipping’s sake.

And classroom organization is always fun, but in today’s video on my channel we’re talking about digital organization… that of your Google Drive.

Is the chaos of your Google Drive triggering for you?

Well, I’ve got 5 of the BEST hacks to help you get and stay organized in your Google Drive NOT just so it looks pretty, but so that it’s more useful and effective in your everyday teaching life.

Come check it out!

We’re talking all things PLANNING as Sustainable Teachers this week, and it starts with today’s video on my channel that gives a full how-to tutorial on DIGITAL LESSON PLANNING. I give you two formatting options, both of which you can take and run with.

It’s high time to work smarter not harder when it comes to lesson planning, and ditching your paper teacher planner is one way of doing so. But that may be a hard pill to swallow, so come on over to learn how to jump into digital planning head first.

I love a good ol’ cut and paste matching activity in the classroom - ok, wait, I lied, no I don’t.

Anyone else with me on this one??? 🙋🏼‍♀️

I have ALWAYS hated them and that’s because of 1) the HUGE mess it made that never seemed to get as cleaned up as I wanted it to be, and 2) because it was just SO MUCH when all I really needed was for my students to focus on the content.

In comes one of my FAVORITE tools in the classroom… Google Drawings.

I’ve got a brand new video on my channel for you today where I walk you through how to use Google Drawings to replace paper cut-and-paste (and other types of) handouts and activities. Check it out.
