BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Official Band Camp Weeks:
Mini Camp will be July 17-21
Full Camp will be July 24-28

All marching band members are required to be at these weeks of camp. Please make arrangements with your family vacations and appointments. These dates are one week later than last year to give families one more week of summer.

We will be announcing percussion camp this week.

Hello Band Parents,

Below is a special message from the Fine Arts Director Tari McKee:

"We had scheduled the City Wide Band/Strings Festivals for March 13th and 14th this year. Unfortunately, the state of Ohio has since moved the AIR testing dates up one week which put our concerts on the first 2 days of testing. As it is necessary to take the musicians away from their schools for group rehearsals the day of the program, we found the need to cancel the city wide events for this year.

We looked into several other options, but to get 2 consecutive days that did not conflict with previously scheduled events in the gym, other testing dates, or previously scheduled Fine Arts/school events was not possible.

We are currently working on an alternate plan for smaller concerts for this year. We are already working with the school district to find the best date for next year's City Wide Festivals."

Ticket frenzy is tonight (Saturday, August 6th), hope to see a lot of new faces and familiar faces too.

Some key things to remember :

Dress in your favorite Hawaiian shirt or dress get in for $1.00

Buy a golden paddle for $1.00- buys you a chance to have a ticket in every bag, (if your ticket is drawn)

Marriott - 1 night stay- tickets are 1 ticket for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

Split the pot- 1 ticket for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

Stop by our awesome concession stand and purchase a yummy snack.

Most all of our vendors have cash -n- carry items.

A reminder, we have an band parent meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the band room.

There is a band parent meeting tomorrow night in the HHS Community Room. Meeting begins at 7 p.m.. We will be electing new members of the executive board. Please come.

Large Group Contest is this Friday after school!!!
Dress in ALL black.
Men in short sleved black polo (plain) or black button up shirt, black pants, black socks and marching or black dress shoes.
Ladies can be in same as above or in a solid modest black dress with black dress shoes. Meet in band room at 4 p.m.. Bus leaves at 4:30.

McDonald Coupon sale ends this Friday (2/10).
Spaghetti Dinner ticket order forms are due wednesday (2/8)
Spaghetti Dinner planning meeting is on thursday (2/9)
Final Payment for Disney is due (2/13)
