Oh Lake Seminole...we came, we fished, we learned, and we left! We couldn't be more proud of this team and how hard they fought in temps close to 100 degrees for 3 days straight. With 7 teams on the water for two days of competition, we had some challenges, but they showed true dedication and Tiger spirit to endure 8 hours of high temps, blankets of gnats, water filled with stumps, motor problems, health concerns, and flat tires. We could focus on all the things that became challenges, but I'd rather focus on what went right! Seven teams and families traveled to and from Seminole to support our anglers. Five teams weighed in on Day 1. Two teams weighed in on Day 2. All teams finished each day. We worked together as a family. Helping each other and other teams when the opportunity came. Our booster supplied us with comfortable rooms for rest, great snacks and lunches and much need ice cold drinks. We learned more about preparedness and what we can endure. We became awesome problem solvers, care givers and stewards of service. They may have returned with sunburns as souvenirs, but we learned valuable lessons that will on make us greater! Our anglers and boat captains exemplified how to be a Harria County Tiger! We are blessed to be their coaches! Till next season, we wish everyone tight lines, heavy bags and safe travels!
