Jog N Jam 5K Run/Walk

Tomorrow is RACE DAY!! A couple of reminders-

If you haven’t registered yet, we’ve got you covered. You can register on race day starting at 7:30. (A friendly hint- if you register Saturday, plan on bringing cash. Last year, our internet connection at the park was spotty at best. Our credit card machine kept going offline. Frustrating for all involved.) if you would prefer to sleep in, you can always register tonight at early packet pickup from 6-8 pm. We will be at Municipal Brew Works’ Spooky Nook location.

Don’t forget to arrive at the race site early. You want to be sure to be in place to watch the skydiving team from Start Skydiving just prior to the start of the race.

The Kids Fun Run will start at 8:30. Get those littles ready to run!

Awards will begin at 10:00.

Finally, join us at the original Municipal Brew Works High Street location for the official Jog N Jam 5k after party at 11:00.

That’s about it… Jam on!

We still have plenty of great volunteer opportunities left for the race on Saturday. Like kids? The Kids Fun Run still has an open spot. Prefer food? It’s the Final Countdown (without the music…)!

There’s less that 2 weeks until race day!! Here are a couple of important dates to keep in mind as we approach the race-

-Online registration ends on May 6 at 6:00 a.m. If you haven’t registered yet and wish to do so online, keep that date in mind.

-In person registration can be completed either at Early Packet Pickup on Friday evening, May 8 at the Spooky Nook location of Municipal Brew Works for 6-8 pm.

-You can also register in person on race day starting at 7:30. (Due to limited connectivity in the park, our ability to take electronic payments including credit cards is shaky at best. If you plan to region race day, cash payments are preferred.)

-Be sure to arrive early to the race. There are activities for the kids, a terrific Fun Run for kids 4th grade or younger and you don’t want to miss the Start Skydiving demonstration!!!

It’s Almost Race Day!!!!

Volunteer?

That’s a great question. I’m glad you asked!

Yes. Yes, you can volunteer to help with the race AND still run/walk the actual race. There are plenty of things that you could help with before or after the race. Plenty of things.

And if you pull a hammy training before race day and find yourself having to sit this one out, there are lots of race time things that you can help with as well.

This year, we are going to try something we've never done at a race before! Two of our school parents, John and Lisa Hart, will skydive out of a plane to start our race and then join us for the walk/run. A big thanks to the Hart family and their business, Start Skydiving located in Middletown, for offering to make the jump before we kick off the race! Their business is linked if you'd like to check them out for something new and exciting to try!! **Please note their jump will be weather dependent! If the weather doesn’t cooperate to make their jump safe, they unfortunately won’t be able to skydive.**
