🗓🦋"Mad about Monarchs" Event at The Conservatory🗓🦋
Tuesday June 16, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Conservatory at Miami Hamilton is hosting a free, drop-in "Summer Kickoff" event perfect for PreK-9th graders and their families. We will have a Monarch theme and guests will learn about the importance of pollinators and the special relationship they have with plants. Enjoy a variety of fun hands-on STEM activities and crafts focused on plants and pollinators. This includes: creating a pollinator hydration station, exploring our large greenhouse filled with plants from all around the world, and experiencing a new perspective with microscopes.

Snacks and coffee provided. Parent/guardian/caregiver supervision required.

New updates from our MIAMI Women Giving Circle Children's Outreach Grant! Pumpkins are planted in the field! 🎃 If all goes well again this growing season, the pumpkins will be used for fall events later this year.
Also, look at these neatly organized materials! Chelsea put together a new stacking unit to store all our outreach materials.
Lastly, we are planning another Kid's Summer Kickoff event this month, so stay tuned for more details!

We just signed up! It’s an annual tradition for us now 🐝🦋

Wisdom so far: "research your plants!" Chelsea advises to not throw out a "dead" houseplant until you make sure it doesn't naturally go through a dormant phase!
