IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE

Due to the developing weather conditions associated with Hurricane Isaias, we are making the following schedule changes to prioritize the safety of our students, employees, and community.

Football Game: Tonight’s game against Lithia Springs High School, scheduled for Friday, October 9, has been rescheduled for Monday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. Come Support the Tigers!

Saturday Activities: All Harris County School District events scheduled for Saturday, October 10, are canceled. All district facilities will be closed.

Homecoming Court Activities: These activities have been rescheduled to halftime of the football game against Starr’s Mill on Friday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Homecoming Dance: The dance has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24, at 7:00 p.m. at Harris County High School.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate these developing weather conditions. The safety of our students, employees, and community will always come first.

HCHS HOMECOMING WEATHER UPDATE!

Harris County High School is closely monitoring the weather and the projected path of Hurricane Isaias as we prepare for our Homecoming festivities this weekend.

At this time, Friday night's Homecoming football game and the crowning of our Homecoming Court will take place as scheduled!

Rain is expected, so we encourage all fans to come prepared! Ponchos and rain jackets are strongly recommended instead of umbrellas, as umbrellas can obstruct the view of other spectators during the game.

We are also closely monitoring the weather with Saturday's Homecoming Dance in mind. As of now, the dance is scheduled to take place as planned.

The safety of our students, staff, families, and community remains our top priority. We will continue monitoring weather conditions and provide updates if any changes to our Homecoming schedule become necessary.

We appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and flexibility as we work to make this a safe and memorable Homecoming weekend!

It's not too late to get your HOCO Dance Tickets!

Tickets will be sold in the commons on Thursday and Friday morning, during early dismissals, and at lunch on Thursday and Friday. Tickets will also be available at the door for HCHS students and pre-approved guests on Saturday night.

Harris County High School and the Hughston Clinic are proud to announce that Abby Garner and Kaiden Harrison have been named Female and Male HCHS Hughston Clinic Academic Athletes of the Month.

Mrs. Clifton nominated Abby. Mrs. Clifton said, “Abby is such a great student-athlete. She does her best out there on the field, but more importantly, she does her best in the classroom. She's always on task, she participates, and she's very organized. It also helps that she's genuinely a nice person.” Congratulations, Abby, on being named the HCHS Hughston Clinic Female Academic Athlete of the Month.

Kaiden was nominated by Mrs. Probst. Mrs. Probst said, “Kaiden is a leader on and off the field. He is kind, respectful, responsible, and well-deserving of this award.” Congratulations, Kaiden, on being named the HCHS Hughston Clinic Male Academic Athlete of the Month.

Homecoming Week at HCHS Starts Tomorrow.

HOCO Theme Week: HCHS Homecoming dress-up days start tomorrow and run through next Wednesday. Tomorrow starts with BACK TO THE FUTURE, 2000'S MOVIE DAY! Join us for a fun HOMECOMING WEEK by showing your school spirit!

**These dress-up days are specific to HCHS. Other schools in the county may have different dress-up days. Please refer to your school for specifics!

Congratulations to Charlie Bonner and Bryan Bridges on being named the Fuller Fire and Safety HCHS Female & Male Athletes of the Week!

Charlie Bonner- Coach Steel said- “Charlie is an extremely versatile athlete who can both fly and base, is an amazing performer, and has a high level of tumbling with a full as her running pass. She has helped our program advance to State three years in a row and continues to be a leader both on and off the floor.

Charlie leads by example, holds herself and her teammates to a high standard, and works hard in everything she does. That carries into the classroom, as she balances the demands of being a varsity athlete.

Charlie’s work ethic, leadership, versatility, and dedication make her an incredible asset to our program, and I am proud to nominate her!”

Bryan Bridges- Dr. Libby said, “Bryan has shown an outstanding commitment to the band program. He sets an example for his peers.”
