Meet Mr. Justin Shawl! 🐅💙

Mr. Shawl is excited to join the Fairfield Preparatory Academy team as a Middle School ELA teacher while also supporting our 8th Grade Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Over the past ten years, he has worked with a diverse range of students, helping them learn, grow, and prepare for future success.

He is passionate about engaging students in meaningful discussions about government, social studies, and American history, encouraging critical thinking and curiosity about the world around them.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Shawl enjoys running marathons with his wife, Erin, and taking his dog, Red, on walks around the city.

Mr. Shawl looks forward to building relationships with students and families and is excited to be part of another successful year at Fairfield Preparatory Academy. Go Tigers!

After an incredible Water Olympics on Monday, May 18th, it was finally time for what our students had been waiting for all day… the pie throwing! 🥧💦

Congratulations to Judah for earning the TOP OST Math score in the entire school! 🏆 What an amazing accomplishment!

⭐ Ms. Hatfield’s 4th Grade Class — Highest growth from the practice test

As a reward, each winner had the opportunity to choose one staff member to “pie” in the face!

Both classes rapid-fired pies at their targets, and the crowd loved every second of it! 😂 It was such a fun and exciting way to end an already amazing day.

We are so proud of Judah, Ms. Hatfield’s class, and Ms. Turner’s class for all of their hard work and growth this year. The perfect day and the perfect way to begin our final days of school!

What a way to celebrate the end of an amazing school year at Fairfield Preparatory Academy! 💙🐅💦

Our End-of-Year Celebration & Water Olympics was a HUGE success! Students enjoyed a massive obstacle course water slide, exciting Water Olympic stations, relay races, snacks, and so much fun with friends and staff. The phrase we heard all day long was, “Best day ever!” ☀️🪣

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible staff for the countless hours spent planning and running this event, our wonderful parent volunteers, and even team members from our local Wal Mart who jumped in to help make the day special for our students.

This was truly our best end-of-year event yet, and we are so grateful for a school community that comes together to create unforgettable memories for our Tigers!

Last Thursday, May 14th, our students, families, and staff had the opportunity to enjoy an exciting day at the ballpark watching our Cincinnati Reds MLB team take on the Washington Nationals MLB team! ❤️⚾️

From cheering in the stands to enjoying sunshine, snacks, and time together, it was a wonderful opportunity to build memories outside the classroom. We loved seeing our school community come together for a fun afternoon of baseball and connection.

FPA athletes, here are some free opportunities in the community to improve your athletic skills!

Golfers ages 7-17, recommend some experience since this is course play.

Female wrestlers, 5th grade and up, no experience necessary.

Our Science Fair was a HUGE success! 🔬🧪🚀

We are so proud of all of our students for their creativity, hard work, curiosity, and confidence as they shared their projects. From drones, robotics, lava lamps, elephant toothpaste, density jars, solar conduction experiments, and so much more — our students truly impressed us with their innovation and excitement for learning.

It was amazing to see so many young scientists exploring questions, testing ideas, solving problems, and proudly presenting their discoveries. Thank you to our families, staff, and community for supporting our students and helping make this event such a memorable experience.
