🍃🌻🍂THE LISTENING WALK🍂🌻🍃

Our big focus book for Monday and Tuesday this week has been "The Listening Walk" by Paul Showers! It's a wonderful story about a little girl who utilizes her five senses to absorb and connect with the nature around her while on a walk with her father and super cute puppy. 🐶

Our kiddos have really enjoyed going over it here at the center--- and with fall right around the corner there's been lots of fun connections to make between what we read in the book and what we see during outside time!

So, this may be a good one to pick up for reading time at home too!

💡🤖💡THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY!!💡🤖💡

Our school age group created a new welcome game to play as their friends arrive this week! They've been calling it "Bot Ball" (because of the robots, of course.)

The game starts by the children building the tower together, carefully placing the figures in it and then taking turns trying to send a paper ball through the structure to get points. :)

It's very creative, and they have a blast with it. It's been awesome to see them collaborating on the rules of the game and how to make things fair for everyone! It really sets the tone for the day.
