🥋 Youth Bullying & Self-Defense Workshop! 🥊

We had a great time welcoming the youth from the Winton Road First Church of God to Legacy today for a private Bullying & Self-Defense Workshop!

The goal wasn’t to teach kids how to fight—it was to give them the confidence, awareness, and practical skills to stay safe.

We talked about recognizing bullying vs. normal conflict, situational awareness, verbal boundaries, when to involve an adult, the consequences that can come from fighting at school, and the important difference between self-defense and retaliation.

Then we hit the mats! Students learned and practiced practical self-defense skills focused on protecting themselves, creating space, escaping, and getting to safety.

One of our biggest messages of the day:

Being able to defend yourself doesn’t mean you have something to prove. The goal isn’t to win a fight—the goal is to get home safe.

A huge thank you to the Winton Road First Church of God for choosing Legacy and trusting us with your youth. We had an awesome time with this group!

What a week of fun, hard work, and celebrating our Kids BJJ students! 🥋

We are so proud of every student who earned a promotion this week. Watching them learn, grow, and build confidence on and off the mats is what it’s all about!

We’re incredibly proud of our Legacy Judo students who competed at the Ohio Judo Championships this past weekend!

🥈 Rylie brought home SILVER in her division!
🥇 Jonathan took home GOLD in his division!

All the hard work, training, and dedication showed on the mats. Congratulations to both of you on an awesome accomplishment and for representing Legacy so well!

Legacy Muay Thai Kickboxing went a perfect 2-0 last night! 🔥

🥊 Matthew battled his way to a hard-earned decision victory, putting together a strong performance from start to finish.

💥 Sammy wasted absolutely NO time…

13 SECONDS. HEAD KICK. LIGHTS OUT. 😳🦵💥

Sammy ended his fight just 13 seconds into the first round with a highlight-reel head-kick KO!

We’re incredibly proud of both competitors and Coach Roberta Crush Paim who put in countless hours preparing them. The results are showing.
