Schubin Studios offers voice, acting, and audition lessons with a professional, working actor and singer. First Prize Winner of the prestigious, International Lotte Lenya Singing Competition (2016), Jim Schubin is now offering coaching sessions geared towards helping you walk into any audition room 100% prepared and confident in your abilities. Whether you have never taken a lesson before or are a

working professional in the business, you will benefit from Jim's 10+ years as an actor and singer. One-on-one coaching sessions are now available for:

-Voice Lessons: From beginners who have never had a lesson and want to learn more to professionals currently working in the business looking to take that next step, everyone can benefit from vocal lessons grounded in a solid, healthy technique. No matter what style of music you sing in, the vocal production is the same. Learn the key elements to creating an honest, easy sound for eight shows a week, or just for your own enjoyment.

-College Auditions: These lessons are for High School Juniors and Seniors who are looking to prepare and polish their audition package for Performing Arts Colleges and their various programs. With a focus on material selection and presentation, these lessons are critical to the student who is looking to stand out and take that next step in their Theater education.

-Audition Technique: After hundreds of professional auditions, I know that everything; from the way you walk in the room, to what you wear, to your material selection, matters in your audition. These lessons are designed to help students feel prepared and confident in themselves and their work, so that when they walk out of their audition, they’ll know they did their absolute best.

-Acting the Song: Geared towards interpreting and performing a song in a unique, honest way specific to the performer while still remaining true to the original intent of the piece. These lessons are not only integral to any actor who is looking to make a career in Musical Theatre, but also those singers who want to communicate with their audience, no matter what the style of music.

Congratulations to Ed Forst and the entire cast and crew of MusicMountainTheatre's production of "Urinetown"! That was absolutely spectacular! One of the best shows they've ever done. We loved it! Ed's performance of Caldwell is not to be missed. You have one more weekend of shows to grab tickets!
