We are collecting laundry supplies to help meet an important everyday need. Donations of the following items are greatly appreciated:

We are very excited to welcome Mr. Daniel Hicks as the Founding Principal of the Danbury "International Academy" Charter School! Mr. Hicks has a record of improving achievement and expanding access to quality education in Connecticut.

Mr. Hicks brings a strong vision of academic excellence and global learning to our community. He has extensive experience leading the successful implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program in multiple schools.

**The opening of our school remains contingent on the approval of funding by the state. Mr. Hicks will be joining the effort to persuade the General Assembly to fund our school so that we can open in the fall of 2027.**

The Danbury Charter School was approved by the Connecticut State Board of Education in 2018, demonstrating a clear vision for expanding educational opportunities for families in our community. We remain committed to advocating for the state funding needed to open our doors and provide families with a free public school choice that supports student success, innovation, and educational excellence.

Join Danbury Charter School and Families Network of Western Connecticut in supporting expectant parents in our community! We are collecting baby essentials, including diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, baby shampoo, and baby detergent.
