Happy 1 year work anniversary to our amazing therapist Sami! 🎉
Watching her grow in confidence, skill, and connection with our patients over the past year has been so rewarding.
At our clinic, our mission is to help people move confidently and get back to the activities they love, and she shows up every day ready to support our patients in exactly that way.
One of the best parts of being a small business is getting to watch our team members grow and thrive right alongside the clinic. We’re so lucky to have her on this journey with us and can’t wait to see everything year two brings! 💙

5 signs of pelvic floor dysfunction:
▪️Painful S*x
▪️Constipation or struggling to p**p
▪️Sudden urge to p*e or p*eing too often
▪️Persistent low back, hip or tailbone pain
▪️Urinary leakage
Sometimes pelvic floor dysfunction isn't what you may think like leakage. The signs can be sneaky, subtle and easily blamed on other factors. If you have any of these signs consider scheduling an appointment for physical therapy to start your healing journey!

Urinary leakage can happen anytime, anywhere with coughing, sneezing, running water or sometimes just standing! There are a few types of urinary incontinence including:
🔹Stress urinary incontinence (SUI): leakage with coughing, sneezing or exercise is usually caused by increased pressure on the bladder
🔹Urge incontinence: sudden intense urge with leakage typically on the way to the bathroom or with triggers and is caused by overactive muscles
🔹Overflow incontinence: bladder is too full and can’t empty effectively causing leakage in small amounts
🔹Mixed incontinence: combination of stress and urge incontinence
Urinary leakage can be frustrating and scary but our therapist can work with you to figure out what’s causing it and help you return to doing what you want without leakage stopping you!

While we love New Year’s resolutions, we also love helping you achieve goals with realistic, consistent steps.
These are our favorite ways to get started anytime of the year:
1. Get Strong AF - our PTs are big fans of strength training and can help you find the right exercises that will actually make a difference this time.
2. Don’t Forget to Breathe - use your breath in times of stress but also during movement, it can really offload those painful or symptomatic areas of your body.
3. Take Movement Breaks - we all get stuck sitting longer than desired these days, but taking a quick 2-5 minute break every hour our so makes a big impact.
4. Manage Stressors - Stress will always be there, but the strategies you have to manage them keep your body from being in constant overdrive.
5. Hydrate, Hydrate! - keep a water bottle (and electrolytes) handy. You’ll thank us later.
6. Book that PFPT appt - Our team can help you simplify all of this even further and finally unpack WHY your symptoms are going on, and HOW to change them for the long run.
Comment MOTIVATED if you’re ready to get started.
Here’s to a healthy 2026!
#2026

Our pelvic floor team was busy nerding out this week to keep providing the best care for our patients. The focus this time..prolapse and bladder leakage.
We dove deep into learning how we can better diagnose and explain prolapse to our patients. We played with all the different ways our body affects demand on the pelvic floor (like posture, impact levels, core control, hip strength) and where we can narrow that down to the patient in front of us so that feelings of pressure, bulging, and leakage don’t get in the way of doing the things you love.
Prolapse is often misunderstood and scary. Bladder leakage is often put off as normal or treated until it’s “good enough”. We make it our job to listen to your concerns and guide you forward in the best way possible.
Make 2026 your year and work with our team of specialized Pelvic floor therapists to finally return to the activities you love!
