Hilbert College, located in suburban Hamburg, N.Y., south of Buffalo, is a private four-year college founded in 1957 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition. With nearly 900 students, Hilbert is a dynamic Western New York college that offers career-focused majors, including one of the top criminal justice programs in the region, and more than 50 minors and concentrations. Hilbert expanded its academic offerings with the college’s first graduate programs, a master’s in criminal justice administration and a master’s in public administration, including a track in health administration.

Hilbert College has awarded its prestigious Franciscan Scholarships to an exceptional group of incoming students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, service, and commitment to their communities.

The Franciscan Scholarship, Hilbert College's highest academic scholarship, recognizes students whose accomplishments reflect the College's Franciscan values of respect, service, compassion, peace, hope, joy, integrity, and vision. Scholarship recipients represent a wide range of academic interests and talents and will join Hilbert this fall to pursue degrees across numerous disciplines while making meaningful contributions to campus life.

Beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year, veterans, and currently enlisted service members will qualify for a special tuition rate capped at the annual Post-9/11 GI Bill® private school limit, which is $30,908 for 2026-2027.

The updated policy is designed to eliminate out-of-pocket tuition gaps that some veteran students previously faced when tuition exceeded the annual GI Bill cap.
